Vegetables are lovely, I will be happy eat lots of vegetables and assorted fruits and nuts and seeds and flavours. I fancied the look of some of those sparp salady offerings that looked as though it was an acronym for sandwiches preferred by actual right-thinking people. Though I would alas need the bread to be wheat-free.

I will also eat meat of course. And eggs and things.

If we're going foraging, I can reliably identify parasol mushrooms, field mushrooms, beefsteak mushrooms and chicken of the woods. And also death caps and fly agaric.

The good thing about Fly agarics is sometimes they have Ceps growing near them. I recognise Phallus impudicus when it's about the place.

Also shaggy caps and giant puffballs (the most delicious).

Now mushrooms are fine... Well some varieties... you know the one's dried and delivered in little baggies.

I'm only dipping in & out this afternoon/evening, but I'm seeing a new side to some of our comrades at the Bluey. Edith pulls wild beasts apart with her bare hands & knows a death cap when she sees one (remind me to stay on her good side) - & as for the Dean! My goodness! I thought she was so prim & proper with her short hair & sensible shoes. Wow.
