On my TV, Channel 38 is Channel 5+1, so over there the programmes just starting- this segment not on yet.

I saw this. I think her name is Katy Jon Went. Actually one of the most reasonable trans people I've heard speaking. Seems to agree with JKR's stance about safe spaces and advocates for a third space so as not to take away from women or from disabled people.
The programme also had a caller from one of the nurses who's being forced to change theatre scrubs in the same changing room as a man.

There have been lots of threads about Katy Jon Went on FWR.

The question they were asking was whether AnnaLies Dodds is the best woman for the job (is she a woman? How does she know? LOL) I caught most of it on catch up, I dont watch breakfast TV usually, but Ive seen Storm H a few times and always got the impression she was pro trans? I thought she looked very uncomfortable when the nurse who is suing NHS phoned in, Storm asked, do you have to take off your underwear in the changing room? Weird question, she seemed to be looking for a way to defend the bloke who is pretending to be a trans woman, that’s my impression, happy to be corrected. Anyway it was good to see something positive on mainstream TV, but they didn’t get to the core issues, just skimmed the surface of toilets.

I thought the same I you OP when I first saw and heard KJW, but as time has gone on and I've seen more of him I feel he is trying to force team with women. I don't really trust him

Storm is always out of her depth when it comes to trans discussion/women's rights. I don't bother now. Owen Jones always seems to be on the show or Jeremy Vine too. Always a reason to quickly turn over!

But which do they use now? Do they impact on women and girls right now or are they really, really understanding and reasonable by using the disabled or mens areas? Do their words match their actions?

I saw him at a conference in London. An uncombed rumpled looking man with a cane. I get definite forced-teaming vibes from him. I vaguely recall a video, years ago now, where he was filmed speaking to a group of GIs and discussing his method of going into GC groups with a softly softly approach to get them on side. Being a friendly 'thin end of the wedge'. Tried to find it again but failed so far.

Regarding pp above about why Storm asked about underwear.. it's because the caller said the TW genitalia were flapping about in the women's changing rooms. She was clarifying why the TW would be naked.

I've met Katy Jon.
He was pleasant and seemed to genuinely be making an effort to understand women's concerns.
He admits to having changed his mind on lots of the trans issues over the past five years.

He's quite open about his experience. He had a sexual development disorder I think and found transitioning helped him accept this. He now says he's asexual.

He was also very self absorbed and liked talking about himself. Like lots of men. I think he loves the attention of being on the telly etc.
Like lots of people do I guess.

He recently did an interview with Andrew Gold if you want to hear more from him.

I think he's admitted to using women's facilities in the past.
Now uses the disabled or avoids going to places/ goes home.

They have a legitimate reason to use disabled facilities, diagnosed hidden disability.

I seem to remember him talking about his new vagina and claimed to have a functioning clitoris.
Nope.

His disability isn't hidden. He walks with a cane.

I think on Andrew Gold he said he was happy with his surgery because he didn't need anything to 'function' because he wasn't interested in sex anymore.
The impression was he just wanted 'things' gone.

But I don't think us knowing how happy or not Katy Jon is with his genitalia is a reason to attack him.

He said in an interview I watched that his "new clitoris" functioned much better than his previous genitals.
A) I don't believe that for a minute and
B) whatever he has down there is not a clitoris

The thing about Went that people have commented on in the past is that he says all of these reasonable things to women re: spaces/rights for Trans and women, and DOES NOT GET MONSTERED BY TRA. Despite other reasonable transwomen like Miranda Yardley being completely disowned. Even taken to court for transphobia!

He makes me uneasy, I'll admit. Is it his duper's smile?
