Really open discussion, for once.

I've never cared what Vanessa Feltz's or Gyles Brandreth's opinion was about any topical issue in the past and I see no reason to start now.

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 11/07/2024 11:12

Oh yeah, seeing the picture, I've seen Went before on some panel or other. I remember Went saying "I've had everything done"

Er no luv, whatever you've had done inside your pants you've obviously not done everything - not facial feminisation for starters. Not that anyone should have facial feminisation, it's mad, but then all the rest is mad too. And there will always be more that could be done because no-one can ever become the other sex.

A person who thinks "whatever I did" is "everything" may be worth listening to... but carefully.

terryleather · 11/07/2024 11:22

If you partake of the doctrine of genderism while trying to say that you're not partaking of such, I'm simply not going to believe you.

It's a bit like the wolf dressed up as granny in Little Red Riding Hood...

AbsolutelyFemale · 11/07/2024 11:54

Vanessa and Giles were pathetic. I turned it off, it was so limp.

Not sure about this bloke KJW, but if he does see the GC side then that's good surely.

No-one listens to GC women, I guess the unravelling of this cult has to come from within as members realise the truth gradually.

UtopiaPlanitia · 11/07/2024 14:54

I think Went is like Hayton: both of them agree with GC arguments up to the point where they themselves would be excluded from female definitions, spaces and services. It’s espousing some GC views as a form of protective camouflage.

StellaAndCrow · 11/07/2024 16:33

Yuk! to his giggling about his sister's breast size. (from about 25.15 in the video
Such a man thing to do - I mean giggling about breasts and breast sizes is something men tend to go and women don't tend to do. I have never discussed any of my sisters' breast sizes, and feel uncomfortable even mentioning that.

I Tell Trans Person A Very Difficult TRUTH (Heated!) - Katy Jon Went (4K) | heretics. 29

About 33 minutes in....

"Why would you go in a women's changing room?"

"ok, well the alternative is that I go in a men's changing room....."

So same old story then?
Couldn't give a shit about impacting the privacy and dignity of the women because HE feels uncomfortable in the male changing room.

"why are we so hung up about BODIES? Germans don't care etc etc"
Yawn.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 11/07/2024 17:35

"ok, well the alternative is that I go in a men's changing room....."

He doesn't look anything like a woman so that's fine, why wouldn't it be? Not that my response would be different if he did.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 11/07/2024 17:35

Sorry meant to quote @HootyMcBooby

HootyMcBooby · 11/07/2024 17:44

Yep.
And when you strip away the fluff and get down to the brass tacks, as always, the same old misogynistic shite is at the bottom.

They can seem as "reasonable" as they want, but they still believe all the same stuff as the rabid TRAs.
And they still believe that men's rights trump women's rights.
Otherwise he would never have used female spaces KNOWING that he was making the women in there uncomfortable at best, and excluding them from being able to use that space at worst.

I also call bullshit on the "I never went through male puberty".
He couldn't look any more like a middle aged bloke if he tried.

ArabellaScott · 11/07/2024 18:08

No men in womens spaces.

Not the lovely ones.
Not the sad ones.
Not the reasonable ones.
Not the funny ones.
Not the ones who've had plastic surgery.
Not any of them.

No, thank you.

Livinginaclock · 11/07/2024 18:10

Katy John Went gives me the creeps, he's just as much a man as all other men but tries to say the right things in order to be accepted.
No.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 11/07/2024 18:25

'trans' is fundamentally sexist

subscribing to a belief that 'men are like this and women are like that' on the basis of anything other than our sexed bodies is rank sexism.

so no man who describes himself as 'trans' is never going to be 'brilliant' on the subject of women's rights. we need to stop trying to tell ourselves they're our friends. they're not

Of course he should go in the men's. What on earth makes him think anyone would have a problem with that?

ArabellaScott · 11/07/2024 18:53

He cites the reason he can't as his 'D cup breasts'.

illinivich · 11/07/2024 19:13

This is what 'passing' is for these men. Men don't have breasts, therefore he passes as a woman.

Everyone will instantly see his breast, and recognise him as a woman. Despite every other feature being male.

Its a common idea. Whatever these men associate with 'women', they will assume everyone else focuses on that too, and will immediately see them as woman. Could be body modification, or clothes or makeup.

He can't seriously think that other men will mistake him for a woman.

He has stories about how he gets mistaken for a woman.

Lol I'm on holiday at butlins and watched a peppa pig show. I could tell the person inside that massive pig costume was make just by the way the legs moved (could only see the person from the knee down in loose pink trousers. How are these men so delusional

Is that because women are just a collection of the bits they like? Breasts, hair, make up etc?

Of course he should go in the men's. What on earth makes him think anyone would have a problem with that?

He says some men have refused to share a space with him. So men refusing to share with other men somehow becomes a problem for women. The men need to sort themselves out.

HootyMcBooby · 12/07/2024 01:15

What also rankles is his "lesbian friend" telling him that it's fine for him to come into the women's changing room with her.
What give HER the right to grant unilateral permission for him, as a man, to enter a female space? And why does it matter that she's a lesbian? Does she somehow get to speak for all women?

Frumpyfrau · 12/07/2024 03:31

His ‘lesbian friend’ may be captured and incapable of critical thinking - but most don’t see TW as literal W and certainly don’t want to experience ‘ladydique’ because it’s apparently ‘a female organ’ and ‘has a different mouthfeel’. These statements are among the TW quotes said to my lesbian friends!
