"The stage production, which is set to debut at the Edinburgh Fringe, has already caused outrage over a working title which labelled the gender-critical Harry Potter author a c----."

"The production is yet to cast any of the female roles, including that of Rowling herself."

"Actors have been found for male leads, who will portray Harry Potter cast members Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe."

Place marking to read later.

I don't think a scriptwriter is required. They could just use transcripts from various employment tribunals

Brilliant. I'd pay to watch this. Especially the bits when all the trans ideologues kept on slipping up and using sex-based pronouns. Almost like it's a really unreasonable ask.

Plus the support animals.

YellowDayToday · 13/06/2024 20:45

JKR is “starting to pay the price”

😂😂😂😂😂😂

Poor JKR shall we start doing a whip round now? I hear that she’s struggling.

ThePoshUns · 13/06/2024 20:46

Haha it's almost as if women are standing up for each other. Those poor script writers scratching their head trying to figure out why.
And by women I mean adult, human females.

spannasaurus · 13/06/2024 20:52

AstonUniRank · 13/06/2024 20:30

That is actually a brilliant idea.

Could some of the legal bods do cameos?

Ben Cooper could play his support wren

I doubt they could afford his fee.

Isn’t it stark just how much Marsh hates Joanne Rowling. So much that he would like her separated from her work.

What kind of person does this to someone who believes in proven science vs post modernist theory that something /someone is what/who someone says it/they are?

He’s plain nasty

RedToothBrush · 13/06/2024 20:57

Sounds like the perfect opportunity to create parts for transwomen seeing as the are literally women. Why aren't they queuing at the stage door? It's a terrific opportunity. Why haven't they been headhunted by the producers as a statement of trans support?

I mean we could have an entire cast who are transwomen or gay males. That'd be ground breaking and original and massively inclusive.

Yes. Amongst other things that would get me deleted to say .

BettyFilous · 13/06/2024 18:39

It could be a new post modern panto classic. Cast to JKR: “you’re an awful transphobe.” Terfy audience members: “OH NO SHE ISN’T!” And so on.

'They's BEHIND YOU!'

I want to see it with Eddie Izzard playing JKR and that chap who got his dick out and slapped it on the piano keys playing Emma.

I absolutely love that both you and I have forgotten the name of that bloke, but we remember him as the bloke that got his cock out on live TV and played the piano with it. I hope that's how everyone remembers him, not by his name, but by "Ohh are you the guy who got his cock out and used it to play the piano on live TV?"
I assume he enjoyed the infamy, infamy, they've all got it infamy, for the first few weeks as he got his fifteen minutes of fame, but I'm hoping as time goes on that's all he's ever known for. I hope he comes to hate it. Known not as a name, or a person, or for his talent, but forever known as Jack that bloke on TV who whipped out and played piano with his cock.

Both of them in the same room. At the same time?

Oo I'm not sure they could fit both their egos in.

How would they cope with not being the sole centre of attention?

Seriestwo · 13/06/2024 23:30

Is it a comedy? Because this is all very funny. I’m definitely going.

lonelywater · 13/06/2024 23:41

having started with top tier actresses and been firmly rebuffed by anyone competent, by now they must reduced to stock players from the co op funeral service all stars. Tragic.

Seriestwo · 13/06/2024 23:43

Moley

He’s so fast and so funny

Wasn’t that Volodymyr Zelenskyy? I’d love to see him play Emma Watson, but I fear he might be too busy.

Barry doesn't seem to understand why women aren't interested.

Barry's very penis focused.

Is there something wrong with his thighs? Weird-looking man.

DontThinkJustDo · 14/06/2024 00:23

So they're promoting it but don't have a cast yet? Amazing.

GenderRealistBloke · 14/06/2024 00:31

heathspeedwell · 13/06/2024 18:46

It's almost as if women understand the issues better than men. And so women are taking an ethical stance.

It would be nice to think that, but I doubt it. So many of the enforcers and proselytizers of TRAism have been women. That seems to be true for many ideologies. Many men of course, too.

GenderRealistBloke · 14/06/2024 00:34

What it might signal though is that the women have noticed earlier than the men that the virtue payoffs have changed.

Appalonia · 14/06/2024 00:43

OMG I LOVE YOU ALL. This thread has made me laugh so much!!!😂

StealthSpinach · 14/06/2024 03:48

Have they not yet approached IW yet?

EmpressaurusDeiGatti · 14/06/2024 04:07

I hear Lia Thomas might be looking for a new career.

I hear Lia Thomas might be looking for a new career.

I was about to say that.

Izzard as Wooden Watson and Lia as the goddess herself.
