Another man trying to hijack women's experiences.

Was just on a forum and a thread was started about women's 2nd puberty/menopause.

Lots of women talking about their experiences and someone posts 'The only time I've ever heard to term 2nd puberty is when trans people start transitioning later in life and take hormones. adds an anecdote about crying whilst making dinner'

Click on this 'ladies' profile and yep, it's a bloke.

Why can't they let us have anything?? Why do they try and take every biological, female experience and twist it into a trans issue.

I've never heard of second puberty before. It's a rubbish concept anyway as the menopause is the opposite of puberty.

FrancescaContini · 12/12/2023 10:44

Yeah because to be a real woman you have to be crying non stop 🤦‍♀️

Helleofabore · 12/12/2023 13:35

Saw a couple of things on this recently.

One was something in Pink News declaring that now "periods" refer to the hormonal cycle of male trans people who cycle there progesterone hormones. Like fuck! Seriously, that fuckwittery needs to stop. If they want to describe that cycle, fucking getting their own unique term. This has got to stop!

And another thing were the males who were joining menopause groups and describing themselves as in 'perimenopause'. And describing the process as sexy and empowering or some thing. It is pure fetishisation. Again. This is so inappropriate that it does need to be exposed.

Helleofabore · 12/12/2023 13:36

And fucking hell. If any man thinks flooding periods is fucking 'sexy', they are very ill.

Cosmosforbreakfast · 12/12/2023 13:38

This is what it's all about. Taking things from women. Our experiences, our wins, our identities, our rights to safe and private places for us and our children. It's a fetish gone too far.

They would be after I'd finished twatting them around the head with a frying pan.

OMG. Modibodi will not be a brand I buy anymore!

Hiddendoor · 12/12/2023 14:34

Nope. Am done. Read the modibodi blog and I'm done.

The only reason trans women would need to wear period pants is if they had been marketed to aggressively by an unethical money hungry company. I'm sure there are other ways to feel affirmed and comfy that don't include underwear designed for a need you don't have.

The hormonal imbalances experienced in transition are purely created by medication. Not as a result of being affirmed and living an authentic life. It's cruel to suggest that a period can be experienced the way they have pushed.

Anyway. DH was in a meeting once where a woman mentioned being grateful for the menopause support provided by the employer. A transwoman joined in, saying they knew exactly how the woman felt, that they knew what menopause was like. Because they were trans.

HagoftheNorth · 12/12/2023 14:41

“Some trans women don’t have uteruses” I would think the definition of trans women dictates that not one has a uterus 😆

Only someone who has never had a period could dismiss the bleeding bit as insignificant

Why are they telling trans women to wear period underwear? What the fuck for?

sendinthefrownz · 12/12/2023 15:42

This link should go into AIBU - shed more light on the issues

Good grief - that page. Facilitating a fetish and demanding that women are an ally in the process.
The extreme level of compliance demanded of women is unbelievable.

No, no fucking no! Not having a uterus at birth means you will never ever have a fucking period. I mean this is just getting too ridiculous for words🤬

Good Lord, what a pile of twaddle that is.

And that is being polite.

To increase their profit margins surely?Smile

Catlord · 12/12/2023 16:21

Shameless chancers trying to flog undies to biological males however they may identify by convincing them they have magically developed female anatomy! Del Boy would be ashamed to try this.

The word salad involved in trying to parse this gave me a headache too.

Nothing wrong with being a M, F or trans.

Why can people not be encouraged to accept what they are and deal with the issues they themselves have instead of playing ridiculous games of pretend?

Trans women do not have periods, the menarche or menopause. That's fine. Women or trans men may experience urinary issues but nobody is encouraging them to get involved in prostate screening.

Why not work with real parameters rather than false ones? FFS. And for money too. Shame on Modibodi.

Pink News really hate women, don't they? Were they always like this?

FFS how did we ever get to this?😒

Flowers4me · 12/12/2023 16:49

I've never heard of '2nd puberty', not that it matters but this taking over our language has to stop. If TW are having issues because of the hormones they're taking then why can't they find their own concept for it. Surely in that way they can get bespoke support. I've had hormonal problems all my life and peri was hell. I struggled to get medical support so I'm particularly angry when organisations alter their language. There's absolutely no thought to how their exclusive language marginalises women who may already be marginalised.

The world would be a better place if more men spent their time stfu.

Everything fucking one of them seems to think that every drop of twaddle from their mouths is super important that everyone must hear.

If I wouldn't get attacked and unalived, I'd wear a T-shirt with stfu on it, and point to it every time they start one of their boring and self important monologues.
