Another man trying to hijack women's experiences.

Was just on a forum and a thread was started about women's 2nd puberty/menopause.

Lots of women talking about their experiences and someone posts 'The only time I've ever heard to term 2nd puberty is when trans people start transitioning later in life and take hormones. adds an anecdote about crying whilst making dinner'

Click on this 'ladies' profile and yep, it's a bloke.

Why can't they let us have anything?? Why do they try and take every biological, female experience and twist it into a trans issue.

Good lord.
What utter tosh!
But then modibodi have knickers to flog.

They were on my list to consider for period pants.

WERE.

Jesus Christ on a fucking aqueduct.

That is a serious escalation from Jesus Christ on a bicycle. Seriously though, it's like Bet666 targeting gambling addicts.

I came across this the other day...wish I hadn't!

What bollocks. A period is literally the uterus shedding its lining. Having hormone swings, water retention and bloating is not a period.

Quite amused by how they've unintentionally failed to affirm their target audience in this blog post link:

Sorry transmen, even the fake penis underwear capitalist allies know you're really women.

Some trans women don’t have uteruses, so they won’t bleed as part of a monthly menstrual cycle

"Some".

they deserve to go out of business

That modibodi blog is grim. Have bought some of their stuff before but not now. Especially not if you got returned items 🤮

‘… returned items…”. - EEEEEK!🤑

thenightsky · 12/12/2023 23:51

If they are experiencing cramping (according to that blog) then its most likely last night's curry making its way through the lower intestines.

EtiennePalmiere · 13/12/2023 00:35

I'll have you know my struggles with ED, prostate cancer and 5 o'clock shadow are very real and I need a safe space in which to talk about them Confused

Edit, meant to quote @JustAGirlScotland

They absolutely do. That particular quote is a batshit statement to make.

I can’t see anything on modi body instagram page about this. No posts at all. Ridiculous!! It’s all so ridiculous

What the actual FUCK is this?! Men cannot be women. Men believing that they can have periods are mentally ill. As for that list of symptoms - cramping?! Cramping?! What is there to cramp?! Nothing! They have a PENIS. Jesus Christ. I thought I’d peaked but it turns out there was another mountain range of bullshit to climb.

TRANSWOMEN ARE MEN.

NotTerfNorCis · 13/12/2023 07:40

Read they Modibondi article, and yeah - it's all about selling products. If you don't bleed, you don't need 'period underwear' - unless you're acting out a fantasy.

Good example of the “misinformation” that they themselves are imploring us to “correct”. I can’t begin to imagine a product development meeting at this company.

Sorry transmen, even the fake penis underwear capitalist allies know you're really women.

Years ago, I read an article about institutional sexism in the Army. The woman mentioned how hard long marches could be as the blokes just got it out and peed easily, but she needed more time and space.

This underwear could actually help women in certain physical situations (probably don't need the bulge, just the standing bit). But who is it marketed to? Women trying not to be women.

Extract from that fucking article:

How to support trans women during their period
Being a good ally to trans women during their period means being respectful, understanding and supportive. Here are some key ways to be there for them:
^^

  • Be kind towards the trans women in your life, and acknowledge their experience as women. Respect their names, pronouns and bodies.
  • Create a safe space for them to share their feelings and concerns.
  • Educate yourself about trans experiences, including menstruation, and help correct misinformation (cites resources I'm not going to bother naming here but which certainly aren't based in any scientific or biological reality)
  • Practice patience and empathy

Soo... be kind, center them, indoctrinate yourself, be kind.

FUCKING FUCK OFFFFFFFFFF

Edited

This makes me so angry I'm in danger of spontaneously combusting.

Treaclewell · 13/12/2023 09:34

Somewhere in that be kind centering the poor dears stuff I feel there ought to be a Noel Coward song along the lines of not being beastly to the Germans, but its beyond my capabilities.

Justme56 · 13/12/2023 10:41

So basically gender affirming period pants for people who don’t menstruate but wish they did. Is that what they are selling?

caughtinthehail · 13/12/2023 10:43

I've been trying to understand how some transwomen have uteruses. Does that mean that some ACTUAL women identify as a transwoman? My head hurts a little the blog is so confusing. And I came on my period (the bleeding one) today. Very affirming.

There is actually a part of me that kind of gets this as I didn't have periods for many years due to PCOS and felt like I wasn't a proper girl/woman which made me very sad and have very low self esteem. The difference of course being that I am a woman and I was a girl.

Fraaahnces · 13/12/2023 10:47

I would have happily donated my fucking puberty to anyone who wanted it. They could have taken every period and the hysterectomy and menopause. See how they bloody like it.

Notice how kindness, empathy, and safe spaces only goes one way. Women aren’t allowed those things.

Also, if a TW goes through menopause does that mean they just stop taking hormones?
