Steph has released a statement:

Is adenometriosis even a thing?

Or is this just different terminology for adenomyosis?

CriticalCondition · 17/11/2023 14:19

Well, no surprise that Steph doesn't like the words chestfeeder or menstrator. They don't include Steph.

Mmmnotsure · 17/11/2023 14:25

Steph states that ‘endo does not discriminate’.
Steph is wrong.
’Endo’ only attacks women.

lechiffre55 · 17/11/2023 14:27

@BoreOfWhabylon 's post, images of Septh's tweets, last tweet.

"But please remember, endo does not discriminate...."

Ummm I think you'll find it does discriminate.
It's a women's issue, it affects females.
Just like prostrate cancer is a men's issue, it affects males.
If you don't understand why then perhaps you are not the right person for the job.

Steph has released a statement:

Sub text of Steph’s statement- unleash the flying monkeys! Recant heretic!

AIstolemylunch · 17/11/2023 14:32

No of course it doesn't. They got the word wrong. In an official public statement. These people do not come from a place of science or medicine. And that's not me being hateful. It's factual and self evident. And something that makes this CEO appointment even more puzzling.

As an aside, when did it become the case that people could start to describe themselves as 'researchers' and "does a lot of research for" without actually being involved in academic research? being able to Google a medical condition like endometriosis (and still getting most of it wrong) is not "being a researcher". And why are they trying to rebrand it as 'endo'? Some would see that as a cynical attempt to talk up the very soft side of the PhD in (or more accurately, tangentialy about) endometriosis that one of them is doing.

So Steph doesn't even know the correct terminology for the conditions she is supposed to be advocating for? What a fucking fraud. She'll be blaming auto-correct on her mobile phone in about 10 minutes from now.

Fenlandia · 17/11/2023 14:41

Now I'm wondering if Emma Barnett will do one of those grovelling apologies, or carry on into the foothills of discovering how kiiiiind and inclusive trans activism really is.

Floisme · 17/11/2023 14:48

I can't see EB apologising but I'm very interested to see whether the BBC will hold their nerve,

AIstolemylunch · 17/11/2023 14:51

Apologize for what? Doing their job, well for a change? Showing guest up as not being very well educated or informed? hurty words?

Floisme · 17/11/2023 14:55

I have to admit, I can picture a scenario where the BBC do all of that, but I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

Floisme · 17/11/2023 15:00

I think it's going to be a good test of how far the BBC have come since they ordered Jenni Murray to stick to talking about embroidery and fainting couches.

Can I just apologise to the entirety of this forum for using the pronoun "she" twice in my previous post. It was a genuine error on my part. I'm am struggling to fathom how it could possible have happened and I will endeavour to do better in future. Please don't kick me out.

PatatiPatatras · 17/11/2023 15:20

Endo does not discriminate?
A few hundred million vs 29? and the 29 is a similar disease not the same - so it's really a few hundred million vs 0?

It's a very odd form of equal distribution.

To be honest, it's nice not to have a clever, slippery eel attempting this nonsense.

Janie143 · 17/11/2023 15:36

Steph has perfected the TW head tilt in that Spiked article photo

AIstolemylunch · 17/11/2023 15:44

is Steph one of the transwidows ex husbands or have I got that wrong?

Relax! Your fine! As long as you've done your ten minutes of self rejection on the ducking stool!

Zeugma · 17/11/2023 16:34

Has anyone noticed Maya’s tweet late yesterday of a photo from the current Translucent conference, showing a shot of Stephen Whittle, Nancy ‘Keeley’, Robin White and Melanie Field, ex-EHRC? Susie Green was there too if I’m not much mistaken, plus lots and lots of other friends.

What a coincidence that one Steph Richards runs Translucent and is prominent in many of the photos. What a busy and exciting week Steph is having promoting Stephself!

MrTiddlesTheCat · 17/11/2023 16:39

I know someone who describes herself as a researcher. She's not. She's a conspiracy theorist who's watched too much youtube.

Datun · 17/11/2023 16:59

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/11/2023 13:42

Steph has released a statement:

Lol, could that BE more tra typical?!

The polar opposite of a woman campaigning for endo awareness.

And I'm going to bet it's deffo not Steph's last tweet on the matter (if only).

Helleofabore · 17/11/2023 17:13

It is far too lazy and too easy for the accusation of transphobia to be thrown around as some kind of defense. No. It is not transphobia. It is women repeatedly pointing out a clear conflict of interest along with highlighting the immediate results of that conflict. Such a lazy arse to resort to ‘it is transphobia’. That just means ‘I don’t have to try to understand a thing to get my way’.

Jajabinksinlalaland · 17/11/2023 17:24

Thank you for the link and the transcription.

I've just listened to this interview and was absolutely gobsmacked. At times I laughed out loud. Steph and Jodie sounded absolutely unhinged. I wonder what has turned Jodie into such a TRA handmaiden. At least Steph will have peaked a fair few people.

Mmmnotsure · 17/11/2023 17:25

A glance over Steph‘s recent Twitter activity – it is very clear that Stephself‘s profile is very important to Steph and that it is being raised. Retweeting and linking to MPs and journalists, pictures and videos centring Steph.
If it looks like a grift and sounds like a grift…?
