Have just watched the latest episode of her Takeover show on You Tube…

…I’m very disappointed…

… and to think I used to be a fan.😧

I’m sure she has done it to appear cool and relevant but if her target market for Trinny London is women of a certain age, then I think this might have the opposite effect. I for one am certainly reconsidering buying her products now.

I’m deliberately not commenting on the individual concerned who seemed a nice enough person, but speaking very generally, are we meant to applaud Trinny for affirming and enabling people’s delusions?

She did do a little piece to camera at the end acknowledging that some people watching the video “may not be understanding”.

@rabbitwoman a lot of us were like this I think. Sympathetic and willing to share spaces (like public loos) and pretend not to notice the difference because we wanted to be kind and not make clearly unhappy people any more sad!
But that changed when aggressive TRA started demanding access to our spaces as if it was their right, rather than our kindness which allowed it. When they started forcing us into colluding with their delusions and seeing women lose jobs etc it they publicly dissent and think language and truth is actually quite important. Seeing women lose privacy and dignity and spaces on sports teams and shortlists. And seeing the effects on confused children, for whom the damage can never be reversed!

Now when I see a TW I just think 'manipulative bastard' and 'get the fuck out of my space and stop trying to force me to indulge your fetish'! Any sympathy and kindness I used to feel has gone. Which is unfair on all those people for whom transitioning was the best option and who were quietly going about their business, causing no harm.
TRA have caused irreparable damage to trans people just going about their lives.

Re Trinny I don't 'get' why she's a fashion expert. She's tall and slim, which helps, but she always looks like she's been dragged through a hedge backwards!

Thanks for sharing. I've been getting bombarded with Trinny ads recently and she nearly had me. No chance now.

You see I don’t think Trinny is a twit. I think she is pretty savvy despite the somewhat manic impression she gives on sm. That’s why I was so disappointed to
see the video. But agree totally about sympathies lying with women who constantly need to shove over and make room on the bench.

Why couldn't they have found some normal everyday clothes, so he would feel more uncomfortable? Why is it always a full blown dress and heels makeover? What's there a specific event it was for, because they're not going to work wearing that?!
He'd have been better off in jeans and a t-shirt, because, you know, women wear them too, quite a lot. More than frilly dresses and dangly earrings.
Why do none of these TW dress in normal clothes? Because they want a fantasy of being 'girls' with flowers, flounces and frills. It's nothing to do with actually living as or like a woman.

I'd agree with this. I look at brands doing the desperate dance to include males in 100% female things (looking at you, tampax) and the first though is "what the fuck are you THINKING????".

Trans identified/non binary/special hair female people, yes. But males?

There's a woman I follow on Twitter who is Trans F to M and her 'girlfriend' is Trans M to F. This makes my head hurt. i try to be compassionate I really do, but what the hell? Couldn't she just be a lesbian?
She's just had 'top surgery' too, which makes me so sad. She's only in her 20s.
