When he got called a fascist and laughed at the ridiculousness of it - this was the bit that made me laugh. I remember thinking, here we go mate. Welcome to our world.

Also, I had to look up how to spell fascist - I don't think I have ever written the word down before - even my auto correct had no suggestions.

ChatGPT is just a high powered pattern-matcher. All it's doing is rejecting back what society is saying, including all our prejudices and biases.

But since it doesn't actually understand the concepts it's regurgitating, and since society is never just saying one thing, on anything complex or nuanced it just generates a string of assertions that initially sound convincing taken individually but don't hang together as a coherent position because there is no consistent conceptual model underpinning them.

Which to be fair is very much like talking to the average TRA or even our regular FWR #BeKind allies.
