'drumming overhead for the last hour; chanting, shouting, fake sirens; people waiting outside for us to come out, protesting that lesbians are meeting without men present. They have come to violate our space and “teach” us a lesson in compliance.'

'The police advise there is another exit. They have blocked the road outside, have erected tents. They are waiting for us.'

'I am so angry A woman has said her rapist is in the protest outside I am SO ANGRY Lesbians cannot meet without men punishing us with violence in 2023'

Solidarity with the women meeting today. I'm so bloody sorry you're having to navigate this shit show.

Pulling on a SFW hoodie

That was a pretty sweet detail!

WeeBisom · 27/03/2023 14:51

Just watched a bit of the Youtube video, and its fascinating to me that the TRAs seem to think that you need someone's consent to film outside. They are pissed off that he's filming and walking around when he's entirely within his rights. I think they used to living in a bubble where no one else is allowed to intrude.

CryptoFascistMadameCholet · 27/03/2023 14:57

Yep.

They want the Auditor to ask for their express consent to film, yet they themselves have turned up uninvited to intimidate women having a meeting!

Can’t have it both ways, if they can gather in the street and make masses of disruptive noise without permission of the residents or the meeting organisers, than why shouldn’t TLA be on the same street using his camera without the permission of the protestors?
They weren’t even TLA’s subject of interest until they started up with the intimidation and name calling.

I suspect, from watching many aspects of behaviour from the violent members of the crowd (mostly male, a number of vague or slightly worried looking young females alongside the screaming ones) that they are used to everyone jumping when they say jump and rushing to pander. Hence the absolute infant rage when someone is not doing what they say.

They come across as a bunch of silly middle class children.

@EndlessTea "Many many many moons ago, I went to some protests that were more like an excuse for a rave, but they tended to be around environmental issues, citizenship, the right of assembly. I can’t understand how these same kinds of people now protest lesbians meeting. It’s baffling. They come across as brainwashed."

I know, right? I had exactly the same feeling when I watched this video. Back in the day (the day being late 80s/early 90s) we youth used to congregate in parks and public spaces in the sun, someone would bring a sound system. There was generally a vague theme like environmental activism, racism or police oppression. People would lounge about, shout stuff, substances were drunk and smoked, the music would get turned up, the police would come, things sometimes got a bit rowdy. I remember gatherings like this all over the place in Manchester and around Hulme crescents in particular.

Nowadays, it's like this lot feel the urge to let off steam and make a noise in public and be rebellious, as we did. But it's almost like they're actually too timid to do it. So they've latched onto TWAW as a"cause" like it gives them the approval to be noisy and rebellious in public. Safety in numbers. Look at me smashing the system.

When in fact it's the most conforming, subservient and authoritarian behaviour ever.

Yes. I almost want to ‘oldsplain’ youth to them.

”Youngsters - this is how you can be wild and free!”.

I want to rescue them from this depressing rule-bound existence they’ve signed up to.

SerafinasGoose · 28/03/2023 08:29

I've watched the footage. It's notable - and very disappointing - how large a proportion of that aggressive rabble is made up of women.

This I will never understand. Either they're cheerfully eager to throw their own rights to the dogs, or they're genuinely or wilfully ignorant of the fact that this is what they're doing.

This has also been an education in the practice of auditing, which I haven't come across before. The footage this particular guy shot is valuable, especially coming hot on the heels of the NZ/Speakers' Corner debacles. It's a pity the police are so woefully inept as to need their failures publicizing in this way but also a pity there's apparently no auditing process that is more credible.

I also wonder if this legally-sanctioned harassment of women (it isn't a 'counter-protest') isn't simply a punishment of lesbians for daring to not do as they're told, but a more personally-targeted vendetta because Kathleen Stock happened to be involved. I also wonder whether that poor woman is ever going to achieve freedom of movement without being harassed, and what kind of country would ever, in a million years, deem that in any way tolerable.

Lastly is a petty point, but one I'll allow myself in the circumstances. The agitators' taste in music is absolutely fucking terrible.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 28/03/2023 14:39

I think it would've been the same whether Doc Stock was there or not, which is no disrespect to her: women meeting anywhere seem to be a target for idiocy & worse.

DerekFaker · 28/03/2023 15:15

I suspect if teh man filming been a woman that would have gone a lot worse for him.

This is dreadful. Again they are lobbing smoke bombs about.

DerekFaker · 28/03/2023 15:18

And did I hear Sarah Jane Baker shout he was going to "Rip your fucking face off"???

DerekFaker · 28/03/2023 21:30

I really enjoyed the cameraman’s bantz with his fellow Scot at the end (she had a dog and was pulling on a SFW as she spoke to him). You could tell he was relieved to have the friendly exchange after all the brainwashed weirdos acting like something from a Black&White sci-fi horror movie.

That's Kate Graham - I've seen her do several ace rants on YouTube but I could only find these videos quickly - cursing myself for not bookmarking them!

Those of us who’ve been in the gender wars for a while aren’t slightly surprised by magically disappearing comments - seems so normal that’s it’s weirder that his audience are complaining about it or blaming him rather than just shrugging and assuming the censorious TRAs in silicone valley are behind it.

It’s just as likely due to the AI they employ in certain topic areas as it is to do with individual genderists making reports.

Bloke needs to mirror his video on another platform eg Rumble.

Because stonewall is contracted to provide "diversity advice" to news stories, any advice that doesn't pass the trans positive test is advised as to not be shown. BBC has cancelled its contract for this reason. If you read about the scheme it's basically a LGBT+ way of policing "wrong think" it's so Orwellian it's shocking.

They really, really want to shut people up and prevent them from speaking, and seem prepared to devote any amount of time, energy, commitment and endless resources to this end.

And until relatively recently they had a lot of weight behind them. The problem they now face, especially following last weekend's events, is that the groundswell of voices against them is getting far more loud and increasingly persistent.

This is entirely the result of their own violent, intimidatory, bullying tactics. Now it's all unravelling - and I'm cautiously optimistic that it is - they'll naturally claim this is simply the continuation of their status as 'the most persecuted minority in society'.

But now, their own actions - all the recent footage from NZ and Speakers' Corner - have shown them up as anything other than oppressed. They're out in full sunlight as the aggressors and agitators they actually are. And now they're garnering constant publicity, a great many more people have also seen this, and are now far less likely to be taken in.

It would be delicious to watch, were in not for the fact that women (yet again) are being intimidated, bullied, and hurt.

DerekFaker · 31/03/2023 14:18

Well, this has backfired on them. TLA is going to be in Andrew Doyle's show.
