This weekend has been distressing for women.

Between Auckland, this protest at The Lesbian project, and wasn’t there a protest at the documentary screening, the hatred expressed at women speaking and meeting has been a crescendo.

I hope that none of the women were physically hurt or assaulted in any way.

That a woman has reported that her rapist was protesting outside is horrific. And I don’t doubt the significant mental and emotional impact on all those attending the events of these protests. Particularly for women survivors of male violence of any kind.

I experienced the queer (male) takeover of Lesbian groups about 5 years ago. This isn't new to me. But it stayed within gay subculture.

Then they came for the straight women and children.
But it is finally out and women are horrified.

What I really don't understand is the persistence of lesbians such as Linda Riley and Nancy Kelley force teaming lesbian women with AGP men. It just doesn't work. Lesbians have nothing in common with autogynephiles.

We all have to play along and pretend we see these men as women. We have to welcome these paraphilic males into our lesbian spaces and lesbian dating pools.

None of it benefits lesbians. The paraphilic males love it.

And if we don't play along and try and create a single lesbian space just for ourselves the men throw their toys out the pram and throw a huge protest.

And I know lesbians like Linda Riley, Nancy Kelley and Ruth Hunt see it. They are intelligent women, they must see it. But they pretend not to see it and play along with the paraphillc males.

We actually had no problems last night at the screening. For some reason the tra went to another area to protest , look at tik tok.

I guess something that actually benefits lesbians, like the lesbian project, wouldn't get a seat in the House of Lords. It's not male inclusive enough.

I’d imagine there have been rather a lot of closeted cross dressing heterosexual men sat on the benches of both Parliamentary Houses over the last hundred years or so.

Two protests on two consecutive days where the police have looked incompetent, biased and having no fucks to give about women. The comments on social media are all one way and sharply against both police and thuggish mob misogynism.

What saddens me is how many young women were there protesting against the rights of lesbians to meet without men's permission. They really don't have a clue about free speech or freedom of association.

Yep. Sarah Jane Barker was the one with the loud hailer verbally abusing the man filming.

I actually felt sorry for the police, who appeared to have been told to under no circumstances do anything to upset the protestors.

We can see very clearly that this group of people are afforded more rights and privileges than other people.

They are permitted to intimidate, abuse, harass and threaten people without ever having the slightest censure from the police, who instead turned on the man filming and tried to say he was 'provoking' their behaviour.

The police actually collude in it.

I was young in the 90s. These young women may imagine they invented dick pandering as political activism, but it was old news even when I was young. I mean, obviously not the really cool way we did it where we totally weren't getting chumped like our mums did...
