Not sure the Guardian can stoop much lower tbh. It is run by misogynists so hardly surprising. I don't understand why women read it.

AuContraire · 24/03/2023 22:54

Christ.

privateeyeeye · 24/03/2023 22:58

Jesus puke-rama! What the fuck !! Dude asks stupid questions then beats himself up about it and it’s her fault ? Shame I can’t boycott the Guardian EVEN MORE

In terms of the non-penetrative orgasm, this is an easy thing for you to achieve if only she would show you how she likes her clitoris to be manipulated. Do not allow her to withhold this information any longer.

Whoiscomingtosaveyou · 24/03/2023 23:00

That is really bad.

MissMissive · 24/03/2023 23:00

That last line, what’s she actually suggesting? There’s no good way to read it, is there? It sounds like something you’d call the police following.

Advice from Pamela Stephenson? As in Not The Nine O'clock news fame who married Billy Connoly?

EggyBreads · 24/03/2023 23:18

The replies below the line are all mostly horrified. Which is heartening.

Advice from Pamela Stephenson? As in Not The Nine O'clock news fame who married Billy Connoly?

Yes.

The 'advice' in the Guardian (including from Mariella) is simply sub-standard and at times, appalling. Most commentators do a better job.

HangerLaneGyratorySystem · 24/03/2023 23:40

Now I come to think of it, I've always thought that Philippa Perry's advice was a bit ... off Hmm but interesting to see other people questioning the Guardian's "agony aunts".

AmuseBish · 24/03/2023 23:52

Wtf did I just read?!

The comments never load properly for me on the Graun site, so can't tell what's been written, but the most popular ones seem critical.

ArabellaScott · 24/03/2023 23:52

JFC have we not had enough grim shit for one day?

ArabellaScott · 24/03/2023 23:54

(Not directed at you, OP.)

Iflyaway · 25/03/2023 00:00

Oh that Pamela woman always gives dreadful short "solutions" Scribbles it off after waking up in the morning?

if only she would show you how she likes her clitoris to be manipulated

Manipulated??! I mean, WTF

Redebs · 25/03/2023 00:13

Pamela Stephenson has always been really odd and out of order. I remember when she tried to rip the trousers of a TV newsreader, telling him not to be so uptight. Nick somebody. She's seriously ignorant and unbalanced.

DemiColon · 25/03/2023 00:14

That's one of the weirdest things I've ever read.

yourhairiswinterfire · 25/03/2023 00:24

Not long after getting together, we spoke about former partners.

So they were both talking about their previous partners, but it's the woman who gets a load of ridiculous names slung at her for doing so. 'Cruel', 'insensitive', 'mean', 'controlling', 'inflicting pain'.

The conversation was a fucking DECADE ago, and this insecure man's ridiculous OTT reaction doesn't make his wife controlling or cruel.

Do not allow her to withhold this information any longer.

FFS!

FrancescaContini · 25/03/2023 00:45

What? I can’t believe what I just read! The last sentence is chilling.

ToastMarmalade · 25/03/2023 01:38

Pamela is not someone I think should be giving advice, it’s not good imho.

The Guardian don’t seem to care, as long as someone is ‘in’ they don’t critically look at what’s being written.

KalimbaMoon · 25/03/2023 08:00

That last line! Wow Pamela, that was creepy of you.

cont · 25/03/2023 08:09

Such strange advice. I'm the one hand, she's controlling. Then again, make sure she tells you how to please her sexually for next time. Right.

Can understand why someone might feel inadequate from this information, or how maybe she went into too much detail (compared to his accounts) but errrr this advice is not it. And the tone is just sinister. Even her husband isn't taking it that far

Whatwouldscullydo · 25/03/2023 08:12

Why are men so threatened by women's sexual pasts? I'm.mot particularly happy with mine theres plenty id rather forget/not talk about but its part of the reason I am who I am now . And should I not have had it im case I met someone 20 years later who was insecure about it? Why isn't he more concerned about his wife now not what she did before she knew he existed

As for " withholding " information. Ill divulge as much or as little as I see fit thanks no one has a right to that iinformation. Why does anyone think he has a right to that information. Its her body.

Wtf is this shit

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 25/03/2023 08:24

Also, she is more open about sex than him and they have never managed non penetrative orgasm - it’s a hell of a jump to assume she is refusing to tell him how rather than just he’s a bit crap at it.

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 25/03/2023 08:44

It's good to see the BTL comments calling her out. But I doubt the Guardian will take any notice.

beastlyslumber · 25/03/2023 08:45

Wtf. The guardian is disgusting. One of the papers I won't read or click anymore.
