Wow, I agree that response by Pamela Stephenson Connolly is absolutely uncalled for and abhorrent.
I often find her column abhorrent. More than once I have seen her respond to cases in which the woman in a couple is lukewarm about sex or reluctant to try a particular sexual activity -- and her response s basically 'learn to do better'. The implication being that it is the woman's responsibility to enjoy sex enough to satisfy and reassure her partner.
I didn't like her when she was a TV comedian in Not The Nine O'Clock News. She always looked like she overvalued her own coolness and had disdain for others. I have always found it a bit mindblowing that she reinvented herself as a therapist.
