Woman raped in women’s refuge Canada

A known rapist identified as a woman to access a shelter in Ontario and raped a woman.
It’s reported by reduxx but will probably not even be reported by the mainstream press there.
It just goes against everything that they were originally set up for, which was to keep women safe.

This is the result of including males in female single sex spaces. This person should never have been in that shelter.

According to the Sun, Green was known for leveraging his knowledge of gender self-identification policies both with police and women’s resource centers. Green sometimes uses the name “Stephanie” when claiming to be transgender. Staff at the women’s shelter where the rape allegedly occurred may have been too afraid to turn Green away due to the risk of running afoul of Canada’s notoriously pro-trans human rights law.

I had a massive row with my DD when there was a report that a Canadian refuge was being stripped of funding due to being women only. She thought it was terrible that the poor TRAs were being excluded.

It was inevitable that this was going to happen. Vulnerable women need to be protected, I feel like weeping. I am so so angry about this. WTF is wrong with Canada. I think Scotland is going this way too now.

Stories like this need to go viral.
Twitter knows. Anyone who follow JKR knows. But lots of people not on social media are still caught in the be kind cult. OF COURSE this was going to happen. Many awesome strong women have been warning them for years, and have been vilified for it.
That poor poor woman, and shame on all the governments and heads of corporations who didn't apply any thought whatsoever to where this would inevitably lead.

What a horrendous story - and the perfect illustration of why so many women are opposed to self ID. We warned that this would happen in any country that allowed it. I hope someone will forward that article to Nicola Sturgeon, who is about to force self ID through in Scotland.

Over a decade ago I was in a refuge, a lifeline at the time I needed it most. The rules sadly state that males over the age of 12 are not allowed in shelters, this impacted a few other women there. I could go on about the gross injustice, those who experience domestic violence have to face, as well as being separated from their male children.

I could get bashed for what I'm going to say but this should never have been allowed to happen. If women are separated from their 12 years and above sons. Why are men who identify as women allowed into what should, essentially remain a women only safe place. There is and should be no grey areas with this one.

This is transphobic dog whistle reporting.
It didn’t really happen because this never happens.
And if it did happen the offender wasn’t really trans.
But men don’t pretend to be trans to access women so it didn’t happen.
And if it did happen they can call the Police so there’s no problem.
And anyway transwomen are subjected to so much more violence so don’t talk about VAW.
And the woman and the shelter and the newspaper and anyone who argues it’s wrong are linked to the far right and/or fundamental Christian groups in the USA.

I had the same with my nieces , they just don't get it . I'm raging that this has happened, that poor woman.

Nicola Sturgeon when you introduce SELF ID this is what you enable.

YOU will be complicit in the harm to vulnerable women in the name of trans rights.

There is NO excuse for what you are about to do to women in Scotland.
