Just that, really.

Not sure if this will work. From reddit - i.redd.it/cb1fyoa0i3u91.jpg

Sorry that made my jaw drop. What happened to #bekind? How the hell can they celebrate someone who has done nothing wrong dying?

beastlyslumber · 16/10/2022 15:33

I know. They are living in a pseudo-reality in which JKR is the ultimate evil and her friends are evil by association. They think they are right, and good. It's not sane.

Those are not decent human beings spewing such hate about a man who just died.

Decent human beings simply aren't that disgusting.

I don't know how someone can believe they are human & say those sort of things about someone on the basis they didn't pander to one specific minority point of view.

Whatever happened to 'if you can't find something nice to say, say nothing'?

Datun · 16/10/2022 15:37

It's vile, but at least confirmation of the fact that the movement we're all challenging is full of low lifes. Vindication really.

7Worfs · 16/10/2022 15:42

Wow… I’m not surprised people can think that, but I am astonished that they broadcast their disgusting thoughts so brazenly, convinced that their views are mainstream and totally fine.

ReunitedThorns · 16/10/2022 15:47

This the same side that is apparently worried about the stacking up of all the dead trans bodies, yet celebrates the death of everyone else?

SudocremOnEverything · 16/10/2022 15:52

The problem with online echo chambers is that they tend towards the extremes. You get a bunch of people who

SudocremOnEverything · 16/10/2022 15:54

(pressed post too soon) a bunch of people who’ve lost sight entirely of what might seem palatable or reasonable pushing each other to be even more vitriolic.

It’s horrendous. These people aren’t representative of anything useful. Just the distorting effects of social media in public debate.

PronounssheRa · 16/10/2022 15:56

Vile, but unsurprising

#bekind

SudocremOnEverything · 16/10/2022 15:57

I think the main point of my message is that we should all be wary of viewing these people are ‘the TRA opinion’ and shifting even further in distinguishing from them.

i really dislike twitter. For so many reasons.

Kanaloa · 16/10/2022 15:59

What disgusting behaviour. Sometimes I think we’d be better off with no social media. I mean I’m a stout republican who really dislikes the monarchy. When the queen died I did inwardly scoff at those in floods of tears over a very elderly woman who they’d never met, but other than that I said ‘well she had a great life and was a grand old age anyway.’ I think being ‘glad’ any person has died is very odd (almost unhinged) behaviour.

I wonder if there was no Twitter etc if these people would say these things. Or is it all to whip up that excitement of being retweeted/replied to and so on and so forth.

Abhannmor · 16/10/2022 16:07

The Be Kind people who celebrated the death of Magdalen Bern and gloated about Graham Linehan's cancer.

They want to be seen as victims. But the psychosis just keeps revealing itself.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 16/10/2022 16:08

Ah the right side of history in action

Great, can you just link me to any of the TRAs who are condemning this vile behaviour then? Thanks.

But I thought us evil TERFS were the bad guys?

IcakethereforeIam · 16/10/2022 16:29

I wonder what'll happen when the members of the Harry Potter cast that are considered transallies say/post their condolences?

Anyway, RIP Robbie.

Shakenotslurred · 16/10/2022 16:30

thatll be a dilemma for them won’t it? Post and get the TRA raging, or don’t post snd look incredibly heartless and disgustingly ungrateful to him, as apparently he was lovely to them all on set.

beastlyslumber · 16/10/2022 16:31

Have any of them posted anything?

IncompleteSenten · 16/10/2022 16:32

They are revolting.

Yes that would be great.
I would hope TRAs would be loudly condemning such things.

Sort of a 'not in my name' kind of thing

beastlyslumber · 16/10/2022 16:31

JK Rowling made a post generally saying how kind/talented he was and his missed he will be etc, and sending her condolences to his family and especially his children. Rupert Grint has made a similar Instagram post along the lines of wonderful person, much missed, condolences etc. As far as I saw Emma Watson has made no such post but her Instagram is very curated so not sure if she actually runs it.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 16/10/2022 16:40

Yes, of course they've posted their sadness about Robbie Coltrane's passing. Fortunately the world has not yet disappeared so far down the rabbithole that Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe et al are too frightened to say that they are sorry he has died and that they were fond of him and had good times with him. Even if it crossed their minds to hesitate, the vast majority of the world would see it as very bad manners and poor PR to be silent about this, so they were bound to pay tribute to him.

The scum and lowlife posting that they are glad he is dead are basement dwellers at best and best blocked/ignored.

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 16/10/2022 16:44

Oh no why?

why would someone do that?

what is actually wrong with some people

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 16/10/2022 16:44

That is truly disgusting.

But I am in no way surprised.
