Just that, really.

Shameful.

beastlyslumber · 16/10/2022 16:53

Yes, of course they've posted their sadness about Robbie Coltrane's passing.

They've made statements to the press, I don't think they've posted anything on social media.

Fortunately the world has not yet disappeared so far down the rabbithole that Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe et al are too frightened to say that they are sorry he has died

Nothing on Emma Watson's twitter. Just saying.

The scum and lowlife posting that they are glad he is dead are basement dwellers at best and best blocked/ignored.

I'd like to see the TRAs distancing themselves from these people. They look very much like TRAs to me.

RIP Robbie Coltrane.

However it goes both ways, I've seen a lot of hateful and threatening comments on Twitter made towards people who call out JK Rowling. Fortunately Twitter seems to be good at dealing with abusers and suspending their accounts.

2bazookas · 16/10/2022 16:57

More self-destruction by TRAs.

DialSquare · 16/10/2022 16:58

TRAs showing their true colours again. I'd like to think they'll be thoroughly ashamed of their actions should they ever grow up but I'm not convinced they will.

Oh have you now? And the screenshots would be….? So Twitter will suspend an account for abuse as long as that abuse isn’t towards a woman. And you think this is a good thing because…..

Call out JKR for what?

bollocks

I've seen a lot of hateful and threatening comments on Twitter made towards people who call out JK Rowling

evidence that JKR supporters have posted to say they are glad someone who called JKR out is dead. Or. It. Didnt. Happen.

It’s just @MargaritaPie trying to derail again. Pay them no mind lol.

would that it were that easy shake 😀

ill give it a go

What can they call JK Rowling out for?

Shakenotslurred · 16/10/2022 17:10

I just think of @MargaritaPie as some poor sad lonely person who’s interaction on these boards is the closest they get to human contact. I see responding as an act of Christian charity which may be the bright spot in an otherwise dull day for the poor soul

ArabellaScott · 16/10/2022 17:14

It was enormously upsetting to see people do this after his death. I cannot begin to imagine how it was for his family and friends.

ArabellaScott · 16/10/2022 17:15

it goes both ways

Can you not even hold back for one bloody minute when someone's died, Margarita?

How unfortunate for you that Twitter seems to have deleted all those nasty tweets against TRAs, so you cannot back up your assertions with any evidence. Odd, though, that Twitter doesn't delete the nastiness directed by TRAs against anyone who doesn't toe their line.

FlibbertyGiblets · 16/10/2022 17:19

Please don't let the de-railer derail, wims.

I am quite shocked, yet not shocked, that some people celebrate the death of Ronnie Coltrane.

Saucery · 16/10/2022 17:21

What disgusting little creatures they are.

TwoWrightFeet · 16/10/2022 17:32

Sounds like they are no longer ‘being kind’.

Terftrain · 16/10/2022 17:36

Wouldn’t expect anything else from these insignificant low life scumbags.

lol at Twitter “being good at dealing with abusers and suspending their accounts”. Would that be the kind of abusers who wish you to die in a “grease fire” by any chance? #BeKind

RIP Robbie the world is a poorer place without you, what an immense talent.

SudocremOnEverything · 16/10/2022 17:37

beastlyslumber · 16/10/2022 16:15

Great, can you just link me to any of the TRAs who are condemning this vile behaviour then? Thanks.

That’s the problem with twitter though. There will be moderate TRA types who have stopped following the vitriolic ones. Or are staying silent because they don’t want to be subject to their ire.

It will be a minority. But the social media situation is so terrible that people don’t challenge them.

beastlyslumber · 16/10/2022 17:38

Sorry, I don't see how it's difficult to say, "I'm disgusted by these comments."

Unless and until they do that, I'm afraid I'm lumping all TRAs in together.

OP posts:
SudocremOnEverything · 16/10/2022 17:40

Twitter is most definitely not good at dealing with any of the toxicity is encourages and incubates. Twitter is useless. Utterly useless.

Me too. The TRA are quick enough to say we are all in bed with the far right because of some people who agree on this one issue, so therefore I will say any transperson echo does not call this out is the same as these individuals.

The correct response on a thread saying how dreadful it is that people are saying that a lovely much loved person has died IS NOT other people do it…😒

NC30112021 · 16/10/2022 17:49

Emma Watson has paid a lovely tribute to him and she is in the last public photo of him too.
