It's a bit jarring to read his description of 'gender affirming' surgery as mutilation. Of course he's right, but seeing it in the DM is quite a thing.

He also got his woman definition a bit wonky towards the end and pissed me off so I suppose he is going for the equal pissing off gambit.

How long before he is forced to see the light and apologise do we think?

What I want to hear him say is that DSDs are still sex specific. So all that bullshit about sex being a spectrum can go back down the toilet where it belongs

He's a bloke. They can think what they like and mostly avoid the rape and death treats and the reeducation camps.

Why is it jarring? We see distressed / mentally unwell women having multiple cosmetic surgeries - ending up disfiguring themselves badly - and we would also say they've mutilated themselves?

He was on Question Time a few months ago and said it’s not possible to change sex, that he knew he’d get flamed for this on SM and that he didn’t care. I got the impression he’s been saying it for a while so I don’t think he will back down.

So he says basicallly what Macy Gray and JK says, they get bullied into submission, he gets nothing, no backlash. Are the TRA still saying don’t know what a woman is? They seem to know which ones to attack for sure

I suppose because the dominant discourse is always so coy - trans-affirming healthcare, top surgery etc. I don't know if I've ever seen MSM be honest about what it is, mutilation.

He's right. You can't.

I suppose as a world leading doctor in fertility and pregnancy he's well placed to know the facts about the sexes and the differences between them?

He identifies as one. But this carries no weight as other people, to quote Fiona Bruce, "vehemently disagree". Vehemence, apparently, trumps everything.

He said the same thing on Question Time a few months ago - using the “M” word, it was probably the first time I’d seen a thread on here using that word that was allowed to stand.

We are not allowed to use the M word on here - it gets deleted because it upsets some people. Prof Winston doesn't mince his words.

JKR has not been and will not be bullied into submission, she is staying the course.

Great to see a prominent scientist stating this, Winston is a respected figure so hopefully this will peak even more people.

There are about 30 trillion cells in an average body, why did the DM quote him as saying he is made up of a clump of at least say 8 billion? It is unlikely he made the mistake but the demented will seize upon every tiny thing.
