A woman complaining on Reddit because her girlfriends and the 8-year-old daughter of one of her girlfriends won't participate in fetishist role-play with her the transwoman she is married to.

So she wanted nights with my friends to do all of that, but at our age (late 20's) we don't really sit around doing each other's hair. Experiencing that was really important to my wife to the point she'd even get hysterical and cry, so I admit I pushed it a little hard on my friends. I felt if they cared about me/us, what would be the harm in us having a few nights where we had pillow fights and such.
I hope this is made up.

Isthatthebestyoucando · 04/02/2022 18:21

What’s with the pillow fights? I’ve seen that mentioned a few times. Is that even a specifically female thing?

SlipperTripper · 04/02/2022 18:25

That's just... mental. Got to be made up, with someone somewhere getting kicks out of the responses, surely? (Appreciate this is probably wishful thinking)

Eugh.

BernardBlackMissesLangCleg · 04/02/2022 18:27

it's got to be bobbins, surely?

OnlyTheTitosaurusOfTheIceberg · 04/02/2022 18:38

If you think MN is bad for troll threads, that’s nothing compared to Reddit. This looks like utter horseshit designed to get some froth going.

It's a stupid 'chick flick' stereotype.

I hope the post is made up. Expecting women in their late 20s to be up for a pillow fighting sleepover is bloody ridiculous. People tend to grow out of that shit once they hit their tweens.

Georgeskitchen · 04/02/2022 18:46

No idea what any of it means.....sorry!!

OhLordyWhatNow · 04/02/2022 18:47

Someone has watched Grease one too many times and wants to be best buddies with Sandra Dee.

Fimofriend · 04/02/2022 18:50

I don't know if it is made up, obviously, but if you read the Transwidow Escape committee threads here on Mumsnet a lot of the posters talk about their former husbands expecting to get a lot of girlfriends as soon as they have transitioned, and that their life will start to consist of lunches with the girlfriends, shopping with girlfriends and swapping clothes with girlfriends etc.

Funnily, they never find their lives should start to include doing more of the emotional load or more of the household chores.

I completely agree some late male transitioners behave like teenage girls and want a pornified teen experience. No argument there.

I just don’t believe that thread is real.

QueenSue · 04/02/2022 18:57

What makes me hope it's made up it's how the poster refuses to see anything weird or inappropriate about this, including her partner wanting to play with an 8 year old girl as a little girl.

It’s what men seem to think young women do a when they get together. Like a softcore lesbian porno. I went to a girls school, had endless sleepovers, and have never had a pillow fight. Didn’t do each other’s hair either.
PearPickingPorky · 04/02/2022 19:03

The part about the 8 year old girl makes me hope to holy god that's made up.

NutsOhHazelnuts · 04/02/2022 19:04

Getting grown women to do age play to validate his feelings. EnvyAngry

Why does it always seem to be that TW are pretending to be teenage girls or very young girls? At least the ones on Twitter and other sm platforms. I've seen too many bios/posts not to believe this. It would surprise me more if isnt true, tbh.

SunnyDelite · 04/02/2022 19:06

Aww! I've never had that (American) High School girls in a dorm experience. Or had a pillow fight, or yet a food fight (who cleans up after, let me guess) So much stupidity.

Hasselhoffsheadband · 04/02/2022 19:15

I have to say, I quite like 'you're the asshole' as an alternative to 'you are being unreasonable' Grin

Joolsin · 04/02/2022 19:17

Wow, that relationship is a whole forest of red flags. Good for the child's mother for setting firm boundaries after the one creepy "playdate".

PonyPatter44 · 04/02/2022 19:28

Someone identified the pillow fight thing in one of the comments. Its what women do in porn or horror films (and suddenly ALL THEIR CLOTHES FELL OFF!!)...its fetishism again.

ErrolTheDragon · 04/02/2022 19:32

I read through some of the replies and they seemed fairly unanimously YTA. Which is somewhat surprising but reassuring to see on a platform which has demonstrated such misogyny.

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 04/02/2022 19:41

The responses are telling though.

Deliriumoftheendless · 04/02/2022 20:49

If most women are like me, the only experience of pillow fights they’ll have is begrudgingly putting up with being repeatedly hit in the face with cushions by a toddler who thinks it’s hilarious until they have to hide all the cushions forever else blow a gasket.

FannyCann · 04/02/2022 20:57

Weird how history is rewritten:

"which my wife (who back then identified as my husband)"

Surely it's the case that her husband now identifies as he wife? 🤷‍♀️

MrsTerryPratchett · 04/02/2022 20:58

There's a great bit in one of the Pitch Perfect's where the women are having a pillow fight and Becca says they're setting women back 30 years. Grin

FannyCann · 04/02/2022 20:58

*her wife

Though "He wife" might fit some situations Wink
