Most of the responses (while acknowledging it's probably bollocks) are at least saying how ridiculous it is, especially the involvement of a child, sadly there's still the "your poor 'wife' you need to go to LGBTQIA+ support groups to learn how to meet her needs...."

There was a Twitter post that said you shouldn’t judge TW for doing teenage girl things because they didn’t get to go through a female puberty so missed out. Obviously this was things like sleepovers, dressing “slutty” (their words) and not getting periods or trying to hide your growing body obvs.

I don't know if it is made up, obviously, but if you read the Transwidow Escape committee threads here on Mumsnet a lot of the posters talk about their former husbands expecting to get a lot of girlfriends as soon as they have transitioned, and that their life will start to consist of lunches with the girlfriends, shopping with girlfriends and swapping clothes with girlfriends etc.

Funnily, they never find their lives should start to include doing more of the emotional load or more of the household chores.

I don't think this is true, but if it was I'd suggest considering the gaslighting and pressure that the trans widow would be under and judge the husband, not her.

Having grown up with American cable, it's definitely a cliché in sleepovers in kids movies. The feathers would always come out as well. I remember having one and being disappointed that no feathers flew out 😂
