Thank you, I’ll have a read, Janice is always excellent. Appreciate the share token Smile

MorrisZapp · 17/09/2021 21:31

Absolutely barnstorming. Starmer needs to stop hiding in the fridge.

Cailleach1 · 17/09/2021 21:31

Excellent article.

BraveBananaBadge · 17/09/2021 21:32

Thanks for the share. Cutting right to the heart of the issue as ever, thank you Janice. I couldn't vote for a single one of them now.

MaudTheInvincible · 17/09/2021 21:32

Excellent article, thanks for sharing. I absolutely agree with everything in this article. I am a woman. This is the top issue for me. If you don’t respect my sex, don’t expect my X.

Igneococcus · 17/09/2021 21:35

She's packed everything in there, didn't she?

“Keir is terrified of conflict,” says one MP. Then why the fuck is he the leader of a political party? It's hardly a job for a shrinking violet.

Brilliant article, as ever, from Janice. Shows the current state of play in very sharp relief.

Toseland · 17/09/2021 21:41

She’s really good at writing isn’t she - that was like a long blast of fresh air - thank god, that’s really cheered me up. Thanks Janice x

CatsOperatingInGangs · 17/09/2021 21:41

Stonking column. Janice is very rarely wrong on this subject.

MattDamon · 17/09/2021 21:49

Glad to see her hammering home how mainstream the concerns about gender ideology actually are.

BraveBananaBadge · 17/09/2021 21:50

Yep. I used to sympathise with him greatly, possibly thinking Labour needed a 'centrist' kind of figure to get over the post-Corbyn hump. But missing wide open goals seems to be a bit of a requirement or the post. My Labour MP is competent and long serving, but I can't stand for this anymore.
BernardBlackMissesLangCleg · 17/09/2021 21:55

woah

she's fucking furious isn't she. outstanding

Nachthex · 17/09/2021 21:55

It will be interesting, as Janice says in the article, if Sharar Ali becomes leader of the Greens. I think voting is still open, so long as you are a member of GP already, so if you have a vote use it! The timing of this, along with Ed Davey's comments of this morning, could be very beneficial to the Greens.

WhoNeedsaManOfTheWorld · 17/09/2021 21:57

Excellent article
Will the political parties ever listen? It's all down to their big donors imo

EwwSprouts · 17/09/2021 22:07

A brilliant succinct summary of the state of the parties. Thank you for sharing & to Janice for the absolute clarity.

RoseAndGeranium · 17/09/2021 22:10

If Ali wins leadership I’ll join the Greens. I left the LDs over exactly this issue about 6 months ago. At the moment I have no idea which way I’d vote in an election because I think the current govt is ludicrous but there’s no way I could vote for Ed ‘No Female Spaces’ Davey or Keir ‘GRA Reform Pledge’ Starmer and their GI captured parties.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 17/09/2021 22:18

Storming column. Thank you Janice.

Datun · 17/09/2021 22:34

What the hell are they all terrified of??

Just say no. Seriously. Its not complicated.

JulesJules · 17/09/2021 22:41

Very good piece. Really articulates how so many of us feel. I have only ever voted Labour in GEs and a couple of times for Libs - never, never again. I am furious at the total disregard this bunch of mainly privileged men have for women and women's rights.

Ed Davey came across on R4 as a blithering idiot. I'm extremely disappointed in Keir Starmer - what a let down that man has been as leader.

I joined the Greens in order to vote for Shahrah Ali, we'll see what happens there.

Datun · 17/09/2021 22:46

Ed Davey telling women that no matter where they are, what they're doing, how naked they are, how vulnerable, or whether they have just been severely beaten or raped by a male, they can never escape the presence of a man?

It's bloody awful.

littlbrowndog · 17/09/2021 22:48

Exactly datun. Just say no

We do it with our toddlers.

littlbrowndog · 17/09/2021 22:49

Why don’t they respect women.

Without us the world would collapse

HereticFanjo · 17/09/2021 22:54

Such a fantastically well written piece. I'm so angry at Starmer and the Labour Party. They are basically handing us over to another decade of the Tories. We need them to wake up and see what this is costing us as a nation.

AnotherLass · 17/09/2021 23:07

If Ali wins, I will quit Labour and join the Greens.

I didn't do it to vote for him because I thought that the chances of him winning were very small and Tamsin et al's were quite high, and I'm certainly not prepared to be in a party led by the latter. So I'd just have to quit again straightaway, which felt morally dubious.

Stopsnowing · 17/09/2021 23:11

Great piece
