Who is Lang Cleg?

I am fairly new (i.e. Less than 5yrs) to this board. I often hear tell of a Lang Cleg, there are lots of user names that seem to be referencing her.

Who is she and where did she go?

Given the harassment and abuse that women who post here have experienced, (including Lang who has been hounded by TRAs in the past) you can surely see it pays to be cautious?

However, in the terms of a lifetime exclusion from a preferred social platform, it is an abrupt termination of being able to interact with her or communicate readily.

Banana and hot milk apparently

I heard somewhere recently that eating bananas makes you less likely to get bitten by mosquitoes.

Not sure whether it's true but maybe Lang was onto something.

I'm happy to set some mosquitos on her in the name of science if it will help?

Thanks Tinsel. The effect might be cancelled out by the hot milk or the Weetabix or something though, & then we'd never know for certain.

We'd have to do it in the evening when the WBH levels are at their lowest?

I still say WBH is the most impressive natural polyfilla alternative. As long as it's not consumed it's a boon to humanity.

If the mosquito banana people were using Lang as their test case, it might not have been about the banana at all. It could have been the whole nuclear combo all along.

WBH isn't the only thing about Lang that could scare away mosquitos of course (there's her lashing tongue, for example) so the experiment would have to factor that in also.

This is why I'm not a scientist.

Thank you all, and OP, I have been here just over a year and, like the OP, noted references to Lang Cleg in names on the board. I am sorry I never got to see her posts, and that she was banned, she seems to be a real loss to MN. I hope she is doing well IRL.

Lang was both brilliant and charming. She taught me a lot and I miss her still. One of the great FWR regulars. Her banning was a travesty.
