MN director appointed as director of the Good Law Project

I'm wondering what the implications of this are?

This person is/was (?) a "Management/strategy consultant" who "advised the Founder & CEO on strategy and organisation".

Was this director involved in suggesting the FWR board should be split as part of the 'strategy advice'? Was this 'strategy advice' in any way linked to discussions or negotiations to sign on as a director of the Good Law Project? Was MN fully aware of the intention of a director to take on another directorship that I'd struggle to describe as benign or neutral, given the USP here is targeted litigation & campaigning (including attacking the charitable status of an LGB organisation)? What now for women who have opinions that men disagree with?

If there's a case brewing to sue MN, I think this could prove to be an 'interesting' move.

I thought he hadn't exactly stepped away - he still owns most of the company and has (sole, I think) power over appointments of the board? I trying to remember from a Twitter discussion, so it might be better to have a look on the Company's House website.

There’s an excellent letter on Glinner from the legal guy at Lesbian and Gay News challenging GLP over the Mermaids case. One of his points is that Foxy still appears to be GLP public spokesperson on Twitter (not sure whether that’s still the case as I haven’t been on Twitter lately, but it doesn’t much look like stepping back to me if so).

Maugham still seems very much involved in the Good Law Project - whilst he has resigned as director of GLP he has set up GLP (Consumer) as sole director.

Twitter biog still describes him as Executive Director at GLP, as does the GLP website which also lists board members and other staff members.
