MN director appointed as director of the Good Law Project

I'm wondering what the implications of this are?

This person is/was (?) a "Management/strategy consultant" who "advised the Founder & CEO on strategy and organisation".

Was this director involved in suggesting the FWR board should be split as part of the 'strategy advice'? Was this 'strategy advice' in any way linked to discussions or negotiations to sign on as a director of the Good Law Project? Was MN fully aware of the intention of a director to take on another directorship that I'd struggle to describe as benign or neutral, given the USP here is targeted litigation & campaigning (including attacking the charitable status of an LGB organisation)? What now for women who have opinions that men disagree with?

If there's a case brewing to sue MN, I think this could prove to be an 'interesting' move.

DD2's school has a charity week for each year group. They normally pick the charities as a year group. This year they were told that one of their charities was 'Just Like Us' and they could pick the other.

Their maths lessons mainly centred around pie charts exploring gender diversity within the school that week.

@JustcameoutGC

It looks like there are only 2 directors, Justin and Justine. That is quite odd.
Three.
Fallingirl · 21/08/2021 19:47

I and only see the two, melroses. Who is the third?

AlfonsoTheMango · 21/08/2021 19:57

Justin is a director of MyClinicalOutcomes. Very interesting set of directorships.

Ekofisk · 21/08/2021 20:14

MyClinicalOutcomes looks like a data analytics tool.

ArabellaScott · 21/08/2021 20:38

Maugham resigned same day Justin was appointed.

Mrsmorton · 21/08/2021 20:40

Just saw this on twitter. Interesting.

@ArabellaScott

Maugham resigned same day Justin was appointed.
Well.

Don't get too excited. He still calls himself a director on Twatter and it would appear he is the sole director of The Good Law Project (consumer) ltd

ArabellaScott · 22/08/2021 00:06

ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification. Seems a bit complicated.

I'd contact Safer Schools Alliance for some advice on this. The school probably doesn't know what the charity is about.

PlayYouLikeAShark, do you mind if I report this thread to make sure it gets Justine’s attention?

AlfonsoTheMango · 22/08/2021 11:17

@Ekofisk

MyClinicalOutcomes looks like a data analytics tool.
Yes, which is what concerns me. If the data collected are incorrect or misleading, eg recording "gender" rather than "sex", the analysis will be faulty. That it's medical data and Walters is also a director at OC & C raises red flags.
JustcameoutGC · 22/08/2021 11:21

Any tool for recording patient reported outcomes that does not accurately gather data on sex would be useless at best but more likely very very dangerous.

FreeBritnee · 22/08/2021 11:22

Following. This is interesting.

Cailleach1 · 22/08/2021 12:09

I would be interested in the intentions, influence and any conflict of interests of this man. You know the term 'fox in the henhouse', metaphorically speaking.

Melroses · 22/08/2021 12:52

@Fallingirl

I can see Justine (twice), Justin and Sajana (Secretary) all marked "active"

Feel free. I suspect she's well acquainted with what's gone on. The only difference is that we now know too.

I would be surprised if Justine didn't know.

EmpressWitchDoesntBurn · 22/08/2021 17:28

I’m certain she knows. I was thinking more that it would be good to make sure she knows about the thread so she can respond.

EdgeOfACoin · 23/08/2021 08:03

Interesting information.

JustcameoutGC · 23/08/2021 08:09

Yep, all directors would have to declare all other substantive roles and relationships as part of conflict of interest declaration. Justine almost certainly knows.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 23/08/2021 09:00

Fascinating.
