Harriet Harman throws women under the bus.

This morning, Julia Hartley Brewer interviewed Harman about women's rights, and men invading women's sports.

Harman claimed that "deciding if somebody is male or female in sport is very difficult."

She also claimed that men in women's sports are not a threat.

Brewer said: "If you are born with a penis you are male; if you are born with a vagina you are female. It's quite simple, actually."

Harman replied: "It's not that simple, actually."

Why are all these female leftie politicians suddenly hell-bent on making themselves look complete fools AND betraying our sex?

It's the right wing Brewer who stated that she is concerned about the "erasure of women" (her words).

Is someone paying these Labour women? Have they been ordered to say things they know are not true? Are they being threatened or blackmailed?

Fucking cowards. So many ordinary women are now coming out and having the bravery to speak the truth but left wing politicians just keep up the charade. At some point when the tide has truly turned they'll all deny the things they said/didn't say.

If Labour had the courage to stand up to this nonsense it would surely be to their benefit at a time when they really need all the voters they can get. I've never voted for them, but might do if they took a firm stance on this.

Harman is far more senior, she has the power to influence the party and its policies.

I don't know her exact involvement with PIE, but if she can weather that storm surely she can cope with the controversy of standing up for womens rights.

If you ignore the sound & just watch the video she looks utterly fucking terrified until she settles into a nice comfy "equality is really important for everyone except women " nonsense Hmm

JHB isn't letting this go & regardless of whether it's because she finds it so much fun to watch the lefties squirm or because she is one of us I'm grateful to her.

A number of senior Labour Partyy^ politicians were linked in newspaper stories to PIE in December 2013, and again in February 2014, as a result of their involvement with the NCCL at the time of PIE's affiliation. The party's deputy leader, Harriet Harmann^, had been employed by NCCL as an in-house solicitor and met her husband, the MP Jack Dromeyy^, then a member of NCCL's executive committee, while working in this capacity. In addition, Patricia Hewittt^ was NCCL's general secretary for nine years. The former chair of PIE, Tom O'Carrolll^, claimed the three had not attempted to expel PIE out of fear for the impact this might have on their careers at the NCCL.[51]

Harman denied she had supported PIE while at NCCL and the specific allegation that she supported a campaign for the age of consent to be reduced to 10, and expressed regret at the involvement of the NCCL with PIE.[52][53] Dromey also denied the accusations.[54] Hewitt apologised separately, saying she had been "naive and wrong to accept that PIE was a counseling and campaign group".[55]

JHB isn't letting this go & regardless of whether it's because she finds it so much fun to watch the lefties squirm or because she is one of us I'm grateful to her.

I've seen JHB "go for the jugular" of a long series of Tory ministers and MPs so I feel certain she isn't doing this to make lefties squirm.

I do believe she is genuinely one of us. She has spoken long and loud and trenchantly in favour of sanity, rationality, and biological sex and could not give a flying f if she's labelled a trf.

The PIE thing is a lot longer ago than the above poster makes it seem. The NCCL was donkeys years ago. 1970s-1980s. Having said that, HH needs NOT to make that mistake again. As another pp says, she will be one of the many who pops up in the future and says she was always on the GC side when it all goes tits up.
Sorry did I say tits? How very exclusionary of me. I mean chests up...

As a previous poster mentioned, HH hasn’t learned from her younger days with the PIE nonsense. Another case of common sense being jettisoned to fit in with an ideological crowd. She couldn’t see the wood for the trees then, and she hasn’t gained any wisdom since it seems.

She was the first Women's officer for Equality. She wrote a book called A woman's work in it she said:

....Support other women, work with men but don’t let them take over, and don’t panic when vested interests bite back: If you are not having arguments, you are not making a difference.

If Harriet Harmen who's on the centre right in Labour and has based her entire career defending women will not defend us then who will.

No time for Harriet Harman. Her completely wet attitude to PIE, her whipping Labour to cut Tax Credits and this , she is a careerist. Doesn't give a fig for poorer women and children . She was well in her twenties when she let PIE join in ,not some naive student ! I don't know how she has kept her seat for so long .

That interview really wound me up, she just repeated the same bollocks about ‘equality’ for everyone, hoping that that would be enough to appease and appear that the questions had been answered.

Now I have Germaine Greer looking incredulous on repeat in my head saying: ‘equal to what?’

Real equality only works when you when you all start on the same footing (in terms of advantages and disadvantages). Giving the same sized step ladder to a 6ft man as you do a 5ft woman does not make it equal or fair. It would only be equal if the man was stood in a 1ft hole to begin with.

I know I’m talking rubbish now, but so is HH claiming: "deciding if somebody is male or female in sport is very difficult." FFS - it’s really not!!
