Well done to everyone who helped with the FOIs. Fantastic work, and an impressive article from the Telegraph. It's well worth reading it all. When it's all laid out like that, it's really eye opening.

Undemocratic, corrupt overreach. What a scandal. If you've ever wondered how an extremely niche ideology like the gender identity stuff spread like wildfire among public and private institutions, this is how it's done.

What makes me laugh is I think the Tories have been desperate to get rid of FOIs but this cluster fuck shows exactly why it's needed. 😁

Thanks for sharing, that's a very detailed article!

Wowsers. That is quite something. Right Baroness Nicholson, time to get that enquiry started.

DodoPatrol · 04/06/2021 07:17

‘Mx as a pronoun’? And there I was thinking that at least one good outcome of all this would be that everyone finally knew what a pronoun was. Tut.

alexyyy · 04/06/2021 07:17

The FOI campaign is fantastic. Such a simple idea that has exposed what is going on. It seems that in common with many other trans activists, Stonewall seem to think that they can literally make something true just by saying it. It is delusional grandiosity and naricissm at its most extreme.

FOJN · 04/06/2021 07:18

That's a really good article. It's very worrying that employers have been willing to consider advice about multiple ID cards for gender fluid staff, it's incredibly oppressive to make people jump through hoops to meet the demands of someone's who gender ID could change daily or even hourly.

I'm not convinced by Stonewalls claim that they have advised people correctly on aspects of the law, why would you instruct Diversity Champions to refuse FOI requests if you believed that to be true?

"What stands out in general is the extraordinary willingness of many organisations to pay through the nose to be lectured and condescended to. Paying people to lobby you is a new and impressive development,” Ms Jones told The Telegraph."

Amazing what creating a climate of fear can accomplish.

FOJN · 04/06/2021 07:21

Would a seat in the HoL be secure if, during an enquiry, the holder was found to have acted unlawfully in a role that lead to said seat?

BrownTableMat · 04/06/2021 07:22

It really shines a light on why organisations’ Facebook and Twitter have been so rainbow-washed doesn’t it? And why there’s so many transwomen in evidence on IWD. Those are both specific recommendations made to organisations by Stonewall. Chilling to see the effect Stonewall has on discourse in the public sphere.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 04/06/2021 07:29

That is a great article.

I like how they got in about orgs being encouraged to celebrate TW on IWD Hmm

FindTheTruth · 04/06/2021 07:30

I wonder if the public inquiry will happen - it would be huge and lead to changes in how gov interacts with lobby groups

FindTheTruth · 04/06/2021 07:33

Stonewall law

  • Ditch all gendered language
  • Outlaw single sex toilets and changing rooms
  • Add gender pronouns to all email signatures
DodoPatrol · 04/06/2021 07:34

Surely adding pronouns to your email signature IS using gendered language.

DodoPatrol · 04/06/2021 07:38

So in fact their law is
‘Remove anything intended to level the playing field for women’
‘Minimise chance of an employer monitoring outcomes by sex’
‘Make it easy to know who to discriminate against even by email’

Thank you for link to article.

"Gender fluid employees should be given “multiple passcards with different forms of gender expression” so they can be a different gender each day, Stonewall states. Applicants could “choose a gender marker other than male or female” or even “remove gender markers and titles from your systems altogether”

How much taxpayer money has this cost? not just the time filling in the forms but the security passes and systems to deliver something like this especially in security / defence is a huge undertaking. and for what? Jus tlike choosing what clothes to wear in the morning. In gender fluid world one chooses what identity to have before leaving for work and what pass to pick up on the way out the door. Everyone has masculine and feminine traits/interests and trying to turn that into a rigid daily identity sounds exhausting.

merrymouse · 04/06/2021 07:41

From the Welsh government:

“It has been revised to use non-gendered language, using the umbrella term ‘nursing’ to cover breastfeeding and chestfeeding.”

‘Nursing’ is a euphemism that isn’t commonly used in the U.K.

I was very confused when somebody asked whether I was ‘nursing’ after DS1 was born. I thought they were talking about first aid or maybe a career change.

I’m very glad that this is all being made public. So many of the policies seem to be designed to obscure sex.

donquixotedelamancha · 04/06/2021 07:41

Sadly yes. Very hard to get someone out of the Lord's.

Stonewall law for senior management to give speeches and to spread Stonewall law messages widely on internal and external networks, is why lesbians are in the closet at SW champion employers. hostile environment with #nodebate

HeavenHotel · 04/06/2021 07:45

Wow great article.

Which reminds me, I haven't done any FOIs this week!!

merrymouse · 04/06/2021 07:47

@DodoPatrol

Seems like it.

In government it looks as though MPs have passed legislation and then different departments have paid Stonewall to tell them how not to apply it.

FindTheTruth · 04/06/2021 07:47

It's so confusing isn't it? and it's been done without consultation. I really hope the public enquiry happens. we need to understand how a minority view pervaded most tax-payer funded public services.

FindTheTruth · 04/06/2021 07:49

‘Make it easy to know who to discriminate against even by email’

hostile environment. It's like Glinner said, the email pronouns have a political context of removing women's rights, putting male rapists in female prisons, removing female sports, removing LGB rights and so on.

DodoPatrol · 04/06/2021 07:50

There’s a whole professional journal called Nursing Times. It’s not about breastfeeding.

merrymouse · 04/06/2021 07:51

“Are you nursing him yourself”

“Um yes, we sometimes use Calpol”.

Confused
