The name of it intrigues me. “Scumsnet” - a site populated mostly by women, and mostly focused to supporting other women, in the challenges and demands of womens’ lives, is described as “scum”.

There always has been a certain section of the male population who gets so deeply anxious about what women might say to each other if not closely supervised. One the one hand, we’re silly, ignorant little fillies, chattering to each other irrelevantly about laundry and weaning, best ignored and/or mocked. And on the other, we’re deeply dangerous potential criminals who need to be called to account and made to answer for our hate speech, lest we spread it to vulnerable populations.

Powerful stuff.

As a TRA hit list, if HQ ever try to cancel RTB they’ll have a mob of furious Westminstender regulars to contend with.

It really is creepy. On a larger scale, I think this is what TRA's are doing to highlight hate speech to the police, so he might be a Mr Not Very Important (those could be his pronouns) but this is just one of the tools that is used to burrow into institutions and undermine the rights of women.

You think by now they would have realised that, if they'd only left those original posters to talk among themselves, most people would never have heard about it - because who listens to mums? They'd have got their legislation through without the rest of even noticing. But they just couldn't help themselves - and they still can't.

Don't worry, Susan - when some of us started on MN, one of the most prolific posters had a trademark mangled style,which people still managed to read. It was from the Eric Morecambe school of typing - all the right letters but not necessarily in the right order. I used to be able to emulate it but it's quite hard now with autocorrect. Yours isn't at Cod level yet.
