This actually makes me incredibly angry.

It seems she is out of ICU and able to give a victim impact statement.

I think it is a slippery slope if any kind of gender preference would have a different penalty scale. Is there any legal basis for this being argued, does anyone know?

Should have thought about vulnerability when supplying a vulnerable child with drugs.

Have there been cases where people have been spared jail because of their ‘vulnerable’ status? If so I guess this kind of defence will become more common.

Reminds me of the men who get caught perving (upskirting and spying on a young girl in a shower being two recent examples that spring to mind) who try to use stress of work as a reason to be spared punishment.

That is not a woman, that is a man (David Willan) that drugged that 14yr old girl. Why are you willfully and erroneously misrepresenting the perpetrator? He is obviously a deranged human - supporting his delusions hurts actual girls/women/females.

MNHQ, it is clear that the perpetrator is a male AKA David Willan that identifies as a woman and at the very least drugged an underage girl/female almost resulting in her death (ICU remember).

If I understand correctly we can say this without deletion due to the circumstances. Please advise if I broke a rule by stating the truth as written in the article (included transwoman status and AKA or original/birth name prior to transition).

I think offenders in general make stupid excuses about why they offended which are sometimes accepted and sometimes rejected by the courts. Drugging a vulnerable 14 year old runaway should mean there is no leniency shown, the child was ill enough to end up in intensive care.

A grown man gave drugs to a 14 year old girl, took her back his flat where she blacked out? and is now worried about what will happen to him?!
