In fairness, that's a really good cause. He may be utterly clueless on what is happening to women's rights re. erosion of the legal status of 'woman', but it's still good he's doing this.

He is not utterly clueless about erosion of women's rights, he's an active participant in it on Twitter.

He isn't clueless about what is happening to women's rights. He is very aware and completely on board with it.

He's a tool. But I just think the cancellation calls shouldn't come from us. His allies will be all over it, I'm sure.

I guess Jolyon prides himself on compartmentalising. I'm not sure Twitter will see it that way and he might end up with a pile on from the TRAs.

I don't like him one little bit however it's a good thing if he is able to display some nuance on this.

My prediction is there'll be some grumbling but overall he will be left alone and free to put another gold star in his Big Book of Campaigning.

I don’t think we should get him cancelled for this. He is awful but this is a good cause and will be useful.

It is fine to agree with some people on some things but not on others. The fact that he fails to grasp this doesn’t mean we can’t.

I agree this is a good cause but I don't trust him not to use any influence this generates for him in a destructive way. He can bat back any accusations of misogyny by pointing to this and put himself forward as a spokesperson for mothers. I am of a cynical mindset though...

Sadly he's blocked the 1000's of women and men who might defend his stance on this so I guess he's on his own.
