The ever entertaining TRA power couple Fox and Owl were apparently represented by the same agents as the wonderful Ms Rowling.

They, along with some bloke called Drew Davies, have severed ties because the agents refused to issue a public statement slagging off their biggest client.

Being bastions of professionalism they left by telling the guardian.

'We are writing as a group of writers' starts the Medium article, which has three names at the bottom.
A group sounds more impressive than 'a few' or 'a couple of writers, plus one extra' though I suppose.
I didn't know that Fox and Owl identifed as writers, I thought they were activists.

I'd never heard of them before now, so I suppose they can count that as a win.

Apart from the good, principled arguments against re-education, there's also a very sound practical reason for the literary agency not wanting its staff to be re-educated... which is that it would have been practically encouraging a Hachette-style revolt, which is probably what Fox and Owl were hoping for.

For anyone who hasn't hard of Fox and Owl, there is a thread here about their book 'The Teens Trans Survival Guide', where amongst other weird stuff, they tell teenagers that doctors checking a baby's genitals to correctly sex it when it is born is 'gross'. The Amazon links have been removed from the thread, so it's difficult to see the extracts from the book but they are quoted and it's a good discussion.

That's the trailer for a film which mysteriously apparently earned quite a few awards. I say mysteriously because I've seen better films made my sixth formers.

Bahahahahaha 5000 views. I'm dying at the idea that this person thinks they're important enough to leverage their fame this way. I have jam jars more famous than that. And OMG the woman-hating in that video. God the narcissism and aggression in that video towards natal women.

This whole debacle is living proof of something I've been wondering for a while, regarding, "if all your friends were jumping off a cliff, would you do it, too?"
Apparently the answer is, yes, the TRAs would.

Some of my favourite ever MN threads revolve around Fox and Owl. They are a beautiful representation of everything I find objectionable about this movement.

The ‘gross’ there says do much. The fact that they think a medical professional looking at a babies genitals is gross shows how immature and self centred they are.

I am glad the publishing company recognised how problematic 're-education' is and let the authors go
