The ever entertaining TRA power couple Fox and Owl were apparently represented by the same agents as the wonderful Ms Rowling.

They, along with some bloke called Drew Davies, have severed ties because the agents refused to issue a public statement slagging off their biggest client.

Being bastions of professionalism they left by telling the guardian.

It is astonishing how easy it is to manufacture news for a content hungry industry, innit?

Love this little snippet from The Blair Partnership twitter thread

Would totally buy that person a Wine

JemimaShore · 23/06/2020 00:28

LBC is very strange at this time of night, isn't it?

The host just used the term "hermaphrodite" and a woman is talking now who knew a young transwoman and tried to seduce him "to make him straight" Shock

And now a man talking shit about "menstruators" - saying Rwwling is wrong. So he's a twat.

It's like listening to a drunken discussion in the pub near closing time when you're the driver.

TamzinGrey · 23/06/2020 00:36

It is indeed strange. I often think that the majority of callers at this time of night are either drunk or on drugs Grin

The publicity and sunlight generated by JKR cannot be underestimated. The DM is running this story and the comments are overwhelmingly in favour of JKR.
Massive public education being achieved with the ongoing stories related to her. Grin

The Mail comments are good. I lol'd

Lamahaha · 23/06/2020 06:30

looking at their list of clients I wouldn’t be surprised if JKR was bankrolling them all! There is no way these tantrumming toddlers could have thought they’d win this one

Authors are paid a percentage of their own book sales; usually around 8% of net royalties. The agent usually gets 15% so almost double. With JKR as their main client, the agency doesn't need anyone else and can just wave goodbye to these toddlers; and still get the money from future sales of their one poorly-selling book.

So, no loss to the agency whatsoever.

The Times picked it up but somehow share tokes arent' working for me today:

Why can’t they get married?

NotBadConsidering · 23/06/2020 07:26

It’s like the scene in Hot Fuzz when Simon Pegg’s character finds out he’s being “moved on” and he says

“Well however you spin this, one thing you haven’t taken into account. And that’s what the team are gonna make of this.”

And he opens the door to this:

Owl is a transwoman. Fox is a trans man.
Most convincing one I've ever seen, at least in that photo. Hats off for that, at least.

The comments under the Times and Mail articles are a joy to behold Grin

They want to get married as two non binaries

Oh for goodness sake! Have you seen how many comments there are? Over 300ffs! I was planning on getting some work done, then you go and do a share link!

settles down with cup of coffee

DuDuDuLangaLangaBingBong · 23/06/2020 07:53

I can’t read ten pages on Fox and Owl, sorry

So just in case it hasn’t been pointed out, Fox works for All About Trans - the recommended ‘re-education’ organisation.

www.allabouttrans.org.uk/fox-fisher-being-creative-trans-awareness-and-taking-action/

(The agency’s quote was the best so far, I reckon!)

picklemewalnuts · 23/06/2020 07:57

@DuDuDuLangaLangaBingBong you're missing out! It's a very lighthearted thread!

DickKerrLadies · 23/06/2020 08:02

Hahahahah!!

From Owl's twitter:

"After learning about all the misogynistic and homophobic remarks that Tyson Fury has made I am even more adamant that the agency needs diversity training. None of this is acceptable, nor should it be tolerated."

We could keep them all very busy by pointing out people who they have to cancel now in order to keep up with their own rules and they'll have to scurry away and learn about them because obviously they didn't give enough of a shit beforehand.

SerenityNowwwww · 23/06/2020 08:15

I heard that - that first guy was not genuine I think (‘legally trained’ my arse). The others didn’t seem to have an actual grasp of the whole issue either. Still it wasn’t as irritating as usual so maybe people are just getting fed up with nonsense.
