I've not heard of that? Perhaps he means Karen White and said staff instead of inmates?

As prisons minister he may be party to all sorts that may not have been made public?

I think the allegation is very worrying and then the fact that we have not heard about it is very sinister.

Agreed, it is very worrying indeed, if true. Is it possible he just got muddled? Because if not, then that is a massively serious allegation and one that needs to be investigated.

One would hope a former prisons minister would not get muddled. This is indeed very serious.

Given that we know that in at least one prison (the one in Scotland where staff complained to the union) female prison employees were being expected to search inmates identifying as female I wouldn't be surprised.

Women & girls have the right to feel safe & be safe from males in prison and elsewhere where vulnerable.

In housing males in female prison estate, vulnerable women prisoners were put at risk of harm by the failure of the state to protect a single sex space & Safeguard.

Then again I couldn't believe male bodied prisoners were held in womens prisons so it might well be true.

During his campaign for leadership, he was asked about trans issues and he waffled on about 'this is about listening and ...it's about love'.

i.e. will say any ambiguous shit when it suits him.

People can change their minds. Lots of us started off trying to be nice and 'TWAW'.

You also have to remember that the replies you get to emails aren't often from the politicians themselves but from their staff.

However , as one of his former constituents (I usually post on FWR under another name but this is a bit outing) and in a professional capacity I have had to email him in the past about a number of different issues and his staff were very helpful and on the ball every time, but not once did he reply himself as per OhHolys email.
