I'm so hugely late to the party but why and how is the flag offensive?!

It isn't.

Sometimes when I'm feeling really down about all this bs I watch the Posie/Fanny Haddock Sky interview and am immediately cheered - never fails.

It's a pity the flag has been taken down, but at least it was there for a while, and would have got people talking in and around the buildings.

I hope my posting here didn't alert Harrop - but no doubt he spends time in between seeing patients trawling twitter anyway.

Quite - Harrops huffing and puffing just draws attention to the fact they want hidden and unsayable - that transwomen are NOT women, and that a woman is an Adult Human Female.

If twaw the Harrops of this world would not have a major breakdown at the mere sight of that flag.

No, unless they're taking an additional irrational jump and claiming to be female. Which is a word defined in terms of biology, applicable to all organisms which reproduce sexually

'of or denoting the sex that can bear offspring or produce eggs, distinguished biologically by the production of gametes (ova) which can be fertilized by male gametes.'

TW are Male 'of or denoting the sex that produces gametes, especially spermatozoa, with which a female may be fertilized or inseminated to produce offspring.'

While it's possible to have treatments which render you infertile, humans (like all other mammals) cannot change sex. (As Dr Harrop presumably knows full well.)

The messaging of you removing a flag stating the definition of a woman at the behest of a man calling on his 12K twitter followers to harrass you is not an issue at all though, clearly 🤨

Grow a spine, support women.

In the Posie video, Harrop tried to pretend that he didn’t think there was anything intrinsically transphobic about W = AHF, stating that his objection was because it was specifically placed outside the Labour conference.

Hmm - not that I believed him then - but no hint of pretence now!

How the hell is he still a registered Dr?!

Does anyone know if the press has been alerted about their removal of the flag, particularly with their reference to LGBTQ+ rights without bothering to mention the rights of women and girls- on this day of celebration in particular?

I think the statement from Sefton Council is pretty good too. Loads of people will ask what the problematic messaging was and then go, 'Eh?'

Harrop is now attempting to harass a female (surprise) councillor who public ally thinks women and girls should have the right, as afforded under current legislation, to the dignity, privacy and safety of single sex spaces and who thinks the defunding of the Vancouver Rape Relief centre was wrong.

A politician the vast majority of the population would actually agree with.

Not a good look saying the dictionary definition of the word woman his transphobic. I fact it's down right ridiculous.

A message on the flags, seen flying outside the town halls today, read 'Woman, noun, adult female'.

Never ceases to amaze me how Harrop is able to display such contempt towards women. I would have hated to see the state of his eyebrows today - probably on the crown of his head with sheer rage and indignation at... the definition of woman

I could actually pack up my entire house, and those of my extended family, and it still wouldn't fill the huge capacity that this sherpa has.
