Jess Phillips pile on on Twitter

It seems to have gone now, but I saw this morning on Twitter Jess Phillips MP, saying that the five gc questions to candidates seemed reasonable, there were some supportive tweets, and then there was a huge pile on from a lot of people saying TWAW and a certain amount of abuse.

Anyone know what happened here?

Starmer ought to get it, but with the way the leader is chosen, I'm afraid Sooty Long-Bailey the Momentum puppet will walk it.

The best person for Labour for the next few years would be someone who is able to hold the government to account. Someone good at arguments and good at presentation. Since Labour are going to be away from power for quite some time, being an effective opposition would be the best thing they could do in the national interest. It would help them gain respect in the eyes of the public.

Alternatively they could spend the time putting in front of the public unconvincing puppets who are have been picked for their usefulness in an internal civil war.

that it represents a black hole of need there that nothing will ever be able to fill. That realisation creates the freedom to see it for what it is and therefore step away from it.

This is the heart of the matter and everyone needs to wake up to this reality.

Sooty Long Bailey

Brilliant.

And yes, it's going to be a stitch up leading to whatever the far left equivalent of a coronation is.

Dear Labour Party Members - The Death of Stalin was a brilliantly funny black comedy, not a youtube "how to pick you next party leader" instruction video.

I hope it is RLB. Then she can preside over the death throes of this movement. Momentum are still not chastened. Then we need a Kinnock figure. Only once that work is done can we have a potential PM.

Im dreaming of a speech where the Kinnock figure denounces “the grotesque parody of the Labour Party - the LABOUR PARTY - telling women their fight for women is bigoted”.

Just been reading a group of momentumite Corbyn groupies, in a group with 10k members, ranting that RLB is a traitor for mentioning the fact that many in the Jewish community don't trust Labour, and also claiming that any positive press about Starmer is proof that he is a plant and can't be trusted. Oh, and Jess Phillips is obviously a witch.

If these people have any sway at all, Labour is utterly fucked and anyone who holds out any hope for the resurgence of socialist, left wing politics might as well go off grid and live in a shed in the woods. These people are absolutely barking.

Clive Lewis now in the running for leadership. Do I remember correctly that he was calling women TERFs on Twitter, or suchlike?

Needmoresleep · 19/12/2019 19:33

Love Sooty.

Let’s hope that the Tories have enough self-preservation instinct to see proposed policies through the eyes of the red, now blue, wall. They have lost the cities so will need these voters next time round.

An unfettered Boris sounds truly awful. With no effective Parliamentary opposition he needs voters and his new MPs to be his conscience.

There are some very strange replies on that twitter thread, apparently Burgon has never been guilty of misspeaking or ‘thought crimes’. Christ.
