I'm not sure what the public record thing is about - it's not like we don't know the name this person was born with or has now. This person is very much in the public eye so what would not having it as a matter of public record achieve?

So what is the not part of the public record name change intended to conceal, then?

I think that Ron deserves a lovely suffix such as Laydee Extraordinaire. It makes a wonderful set of initials...

Surely Veronica Ivy (nee Rachel McKinnon) cant be so totally dim to understand that the word woman IS used worldwide, and is simply used in whatever language spoken in any given country.

Because if not, why don't they tweet their comments in every language going as well?

What an unfortunate choice for a new identity to disguise a murky past - reminds me of poison ivy.
Poison ivy; well known for causing an irritating reaction in people who come into contact with it, even worse it’s not even a true ivy plant but a member of the cashew & pistachio family ( ie nuts) and often thought of as an unwelcome weed.

Well I don't think they are protected by transgender laws on this. Keep it secret? It will be on Wikipedia eg. "in December 2019, McKinnon, changed her name to Veronica Ivy"
Don't know if it sounds like a porn name or some cartoon character superhero or something. If using their name "McKinnon" was annoying, will they be ok with "Ronnie"? Can't claim transphobia. It is a unisex nickname - Ronnie from Eastenders.

I wonder whether RMcK knows the meaning of Veronica, and the story of the name. Perhaps this is another image they are self-IDing into: that of a kind woman.

I had wondered if this individual was changing names to clean up their social media presence and avoid disciplinary action by their employer. But nope, straight back to the frothing and foot stamping. What’s the point?

Wow, what struck me in that tweet was Helen's total disregard of the feelings of a woman who had been raped about who she would let touch her body.

Those feelings are much much less important than the hurt feelings of a man who wants everyone else to pretend he's a woman.
