I think the JY situation needs people from trans rights groups speaking up and saying they don't feel JY represents what they are fighting for. In every story I've seen "she" gets called an activist. If the trans community don't counter that, the public will assume support, even if it is silent. And of course a huge part of the problem is the very vocal TRA's throw words like transphobe and tf around like confetti so how can they denounce JY without losing credibility in their own community?
TRAs dont care about trans people anymore than they care about women. And they dont need to because most of the normal, decent human beings that happen to be trans arent in public making shows and drawing attention to themselves. They dont behave the same way and if they Express discomfort are turned on with exactly the same ferocity as "terfs" receive. They're outed to religious organisations, family, work etc. We saw a tiny portion of it when jessica yaniv shared Blair whites address.
AGP basically have a lot of trans people in a stranglehold and the ones they dont and cant brainwash are because we are so careful of who we allow in which keeps us safe but then also limits the platform we can speak from.
I could post on my facebook to my trans friends all day long. They will mostly agree with me But it wont go reach any further circles because that platform is so small and private.
