I was just coming on here to warn people of Dusty Bin. Looks like gang hand signs...

BettyFilous - you're clearly a non-binary area Wink

Soooannoyed · 04/10/2019 20:31

My bins all identify as vases, thank you very much. The garbage inside them identify as flowers. We don't have garbage and if you don't believe me I'll call and complain to someone using my white, streamlined telephone. (Lady of the house speaking)
Also I identify as young, skinny and very beautiful, So if any man dares to be able to string together a coherent sentence anywhere near me I'll be very cross.

ALittleBitofVitriol · 04/10/2019 21:06

Green and blue bins? Do your bin collectors have to take a colour blindness test?

misses point of thread

We have a bin in a cupboard. Should we encourage ze to be out and proud

CircleofWillis · 04/10/2019 22:22

Mrs Steve and Zebras I imagine your former bins have been literally erased through dead naming or mis(bin?)dering? The statistics are terrible. There is no container more oppressed than the domestic waste receptacle.

Voice0fReason · 04/10/2019 22:25

I love that!

Ereshkigal · 04/10/2019 22:29

Non binary is genius GrinWine

GameofPhones · 04/10/2019 22:30

Consider 'innocent' rhymes like 'Has the bin man bin, Mam?' - They could be coded oppression of male mothers - Has the man bin mam, Mam?

BiologyNotBigotry · 04/10/2019 23:01

Blue, green... It's all a spectrum. Some bins are blue, some are yellow. Some, like this bin, are somewhere in between & who are we to judge?! Just because you see it as a blue bin doesn't mean you're right. We all see things a bit differently - how do you know that we're both seeing the same colour that some long dead old white man assigned the word blue to?! What about colour blind people? They exist, y'know. Stop trying to erase them because of your chromophobia. The science is so much more complicated than you understand. Do you even know how eyes/light work? I don't care if you're an optician, you should be re-educated. You're obviously not keeping up to date with the latest science....

Our bins are all green, but have different coloured lids depend on designated use. I’m going to get a purple lid and just chuck all the rubbish, recycling and green waste all in together.

WrathofSWhlttleKlop · 04/10/2019 23:21

The binology of Dusty Bin is revealed the size of its feet and jazz hands.
You already know this

WrathofSWhlttleKlop · 04/10/2019 23:34

I heard that Dusty Bin is playing Widow Twanky in a christmas pantomime at a south coast seaside town.

Have I gone too far?

CharlieParley · 05/10/2019 00:04

Bin saying for ages that people's self-id varies from place to place coz the gargabe society imposes on us varies, too.

But now I don't know whether my bins are cis or trans or non-BINary?

Coz round 'ere

Green waste goes in the brown bin
General waste in the blue, slimline one
Paper and cardboard in the grey bin
Recycling goes in the green bin, but glass is excluded despite being one of the easiest recyclables

And round my parents way

The grey, slimline bin is for general waste,
The blue bin with the yellow lid is for paper and cardboard and
Recycling is fully inclusive, so including glass, and goes into yellow bin bags.

Do you think if we all just swapped bins, they'd be happier? Like if my grey fat bin identifies as slimline blue, I could send it to my parents where slimline grey does the blue job...

MrsFogi · 05/10/2019 00:31

CharlieParley that proposal is not a solution - bin collection needs to adapt for the bins not the other way round.

ARoombaOfOnesOwn · 05/10/2019 00:37

I’ve only got a swing bin - does that mean it/they is gender fluid? Or is it the Philip/Pip Bunce of the bin world?

Gingerkittykat · 05/10/2019 00:53

The council transed my black bin. It used to be for general waste but it is now a paper bin. It now wants to detransition back to it's original purpose, having seen the error of the council's flawed ideology.

The blue bin is sick of being used for dirty cat litter and want's nice clean paper and cardboard instead.

The brown bin accepts it's non binary status, being used for both food and garden waste. It's very woke.

The green bin has a sticker on it telling the world it is for plastic and cans and gets really upset if anyone misbins it and thinks it can be used for any other purpose.

Whatwouldbigfatfannydo · 05/10/2019 01:11

Poor bin men. Imagine going about your daily life and collecting bins on general waste day when you see one blue bin in a street full of green. Since it is in the space where a green bin should be you assume that it will have the contents of a green bin. Why else would it be there?
You work up the courage to open the lid and....RECYCLABLES. This is not what you signed up for. You are only there for general waste and need to turn the blue bin away.

Cue blue bin launching a tirade of how you should have accepted whatever was in the bin as it truly believed it was a green bin and that makes it the same as a real green bin.

You are committing literal violence and a hate crime by turning the blue bin down for not being what you were led to believe.

Wonder if RM will be offended if he's the bin in this remaining of his recent tweets? Grin

@CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost
The more I read about this movement the more I think it's driven by big pharma - no matter the cost to children.

Thalidomide, opiates...for starters.
