And Mandy Rice-Davies is screaming from her grave, Well he would, wouldn't he?

C4 News leading on the Roberts/Giuffre depostion. She claims she had sex with HRH three times in 2001, including once at an orgy, for which she was paid $15,000. Flight logs showing her being delivered by the delightful Ghilaisne Maxwell also enclosed.

Al this was supplied to the Met at the height of the Yewtree fuss, but they seemed far too busy chasing Cliff richard and Paul Gambaccini to take very much interest.

This isn't going to go away.

...As in, "Do you save fallen women? Can you save one for me?"

Somehow I don't think Charles has much room to talk, bearing in mind his own paedophile support

What???

MockersthefeMANist · 18/08/2019 09:49

What??

Charles was friends with Jimmy Savile, though the difference is that the truth about him came out after his death. Having said that, there were probably rumours in his lifetime too.

QueenOfTheAndals · 18/08/2019 09:53

Ah ok @MockersthefeMANist, I didn't know about that one Shock

feelingverylazytoday · 18/08/2019 10:33

There were numerous rumours about Jimmy Savile during his life, but it's always possible that PC didn't hear them. He wasn't exactly streetwise and would never have been on the set of TOTP or Jim'll fix it or worked in Leeds general or Stoke Mandeville, or had anything to do with ordinary British life and culture. Paedophiles are very manipulative and JS could have presented himself in a different light. JS was booked on CBB as a guest and nobody said anything then, though Pete Burns didn't seem too happy about him being there

BertrandRussell · 18/08/2019 10:35

“There were numerous rumours about Jimmy Savile during his life, but it's always possible that PC didn't hear them”

He would have been briefed. It is absurd to think he wouldn’t have been. That’s what a significant chunk of his staff were for!

BertrandRussell · 18/08/2019 10:37

Not the Nine O Clock News- a prime time political/news satire show had at least one sketch about him.

VortexofBloggery · 24/08/2019 09:37

www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/aug/23/prince-andrew-appalled-epstein-royal-wedding Marina Hyde calls bullshit.

GrimDamnFanjo · 24/08/2019 11:34

I don't think anything is going to happen - I'm slightly cheered that some media outlets have published stories. I suspect even 10 years ago they wouldn't have in the same way,.
The DoY was embarrassing enough before all of this. The most we could hope for is a bit of lying low for a while.
As a previous poster suggested, only if organisations began removing him from appointments would a backlash start.
This really is a culmination of a family who knows they can do what they want with no repercussions.

MockersthefeMANist · 24/08/2019 16:17

"I have stayed in a number of his residences. At no stage during the limited time I spent with him did I see, witness or suspect any behaviour of the sort that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction."

Translation: It's not my fault I'm a clueless overpriviliged inbred quarterwit.

Marina Hyde's article nails it definitively. She's such a good writer.

TheBigBallOfOil · 24/08/2019 17:42

I can believe Charles didn’t know about savile, actually. The whole point there as in other similar cases was that people who knew stuff didn’t talk to each other and dit’s didn’t get joined.

TheBigBallOfOil · 24/08/2019 17:43

Andrew on the other hand continued to associate with Epstein after his stinky plea deal. Either he was doing missionary work with a fallen man or didn’t care about what he’d been up to.
I know what I think.

FormerMediocreMale · 24/08/2019 17:50

How can Andrew deny any knowledge of epsteins paedophilia when he remained in contact AFTER his release from jail!

TheBigBallOfOil · 24/08/2019 18:07

I’ve just watched the bbc report about his statement and it’s made me genuinely angry. These foul people actually believe we are as stupid as they. We’ll swallow any old shite they put out.
Enough. Get rid of this scum. All of them.

Violetparis · 24/08/2019 18:16

I don't think the majority of the public buy Prince Andrew's latest statement at all. The Royal Family are trying to take us all for fools but I don't think it's working. It's the attempted cover up and dodgy statements which will cause the most damage to them.

Caucho · 24/08/2019 18:45

In terms of being judged by the internet there’s a good reason why he’s not garnering a lot of sympathy. If his links to Epstein had been completely severed after his initial conviction he could at least attempt to make plausible denies about knowing what he was really like but he continued to see him AFTER.

How the fuck didn’t the Royal handlers not ban him from meeting him or was he so arrogant he refused to do so? Or conspiracy theory alert he was worried Epstein has stuff on him

Ali1cedowntherabbithole · 24/08/2019 20:11

I predict a funeral.

Wasn't there some suggestion that the Queen's Grandmother died at a very convenient time to allow the appropriate period of mourning before the coronation?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 24/08/2019 20:17

How can Andrew deny any knowledge of epsteins paedophilia when he remained in contact AFTER his release from jail!

He can't - but isn't what he's trying to say that he didn't see any such activity ^while actually with Epstein"? (not that I'd necessarily believe that either)

What really beats me is what they did with Philip while Fergie was at Balmoral. Did they lock him in a barn or something, or has he suspended his previous views in some joint attempt to get his son off the hook?

justasking111 · 24/08/2019 20:18

Just finished reading Jephsons royal book. You really cannot blame the palace machine denying things if their employer states that they are completely innocent. They were put in an impossible position back in the nineties and it looks like a rerun for them except there are more royal backsides that need covering time and time again.

ValerianV · 24/08/2019 21:16

Oh how they must laugh. They really can do what they like.

Chickenish · 24/08/2019 21:55

Do Andrew said that he didn’t notice any immoral criminal behaviour on Epstein’s part and it was just coincidental that they gave him a 17 year old girl to have fun with rape ?

Caucho · 24/08/2019 23:09

As a Royal the first initial should have been it in terms of never having any interaction ever again (not that I believe he was duped or anything). He just has zero defence seeing him after and all the I never seen anything myself statements mean nothing in terms of continuing to hang around a convicted paedophile / child molester

Caucho · 24/08/2019 23:10

First conviction sorry
