And Mandy Rice-Davies is screaming from her grave, Well he would, wouldn't he?

C4 News leading on the Roberts/Giuffre depostion. She claims she had sex with HRH three times in 2001, including once at an orgy, for which she was paid $15,000. Flight logs showing her being delivered by the delightful Ghilaisne Maxwell also enclosed.

Al this was supplied to the Met at the height of the Yewtree fuss, but they seemed far too busy chasing Cliff richard and Paul Gambaccini to take very much interest.

This isn't going to go away.

HRH will not be above the law in the US civil courts where he will be named in procedings. He has broken no law. But it is all a bit embarrasing.

Here we are. Only five people work at C4 News and it takes them a day to put the stories up:

The Crown must always win

Juells · 17/08/2019 10:01

I'm surprised that this thread is allowed to stand. I'm Irish, can't understand the British attitude to royalty, but if he happened to be Joe Blow from Tooting Bec posters wouldn't be gaily accusing him of heinous doings for fear of being sued.

noodlenosefraggle · 17/08/2019 10:01

Isn't it illegal to pay for sex with a trafficking victim? I don't doubt that any feeble excuse will be accepted in his defence, or he will just say he didnt know shec was trafficked at the time and that will be it.He was willing to be friends with a convicted sex offender, so I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't know because he couldn't care less or because he willfully avoided knowing. He's almost as sleazy as Meghan Markle with her actressy ways.

Juells · 17/08/2019 10:09

Isn't it illegal to pay for sex with a trafficking victim?

Who says he did?

Meghan Markle with her actressy ways.

🤣

noodlenosefraggle · 17/08/2019 10:14

The alleged victim said she was paid £15,000 to have sex with him. I suppose it could have been paid by Epstein, but that makes a mockery of the law, if someone (Not Andrew of course) can be bought by someone else for their friends ' use.

noodlenosefraggle · 17/08/2019 10:15

The bracket doesn't make sense sorry!

MockersthefeMANist · 17/08/2019 10:23

The question in this case is what was illegal in 2001. Paying for sex with a child (under 18) or causing a child (under 18) to be trafficked or coerced into sex became crimes in 2003.

Not sure that Maxwell is in the clear regards trafficking for the purposes of prostitution, livng off immoral earnings etc.

Age of consent varies by law in different locations throughout the world.
Remember though even if a victim is of the age of consent that doesn't apply to those in a position of authority. Frankly, there's quite a good argument that HRH is an authority figure considering how powerful his family is.

MockersthefeMANist · 17/08/2019 10:43

Another 2003 law, and this was 2001.

HRH has broken no UK law. If the case is upheld in the US courts, then the veracity of his depositions come into question, but they were ruled inadmissable in the first place so he would be in the clear. But embarrassed.

Age of consent 18 in a fair few states I believe

MockersthefeMANist · 17/08/2019 10:51

And there is 'Conveying a minor across a state line for immoral purposes,' see Chuck Berry etc.

Maxwell fille is in doodoo as deep as Papa when he fell off her namesake.

supergranscape sources and evidence rather than hearsay - the fishing expedition didn't even lead to arrest let alone conviction - why could Kitty and Gladys not just have been spending time together rather than being branded letchers? Not all regular guests would have been nonces.

Ghislaine Maxwell has already served 13 months for soliciting a minor for prostitution. She recently tried to keep documents sealed that were part of a suit by Virginia Giuffre.
Having been named in the 2019 action (sexual assault) I would hope that this leads to another court appearance (she paid off another accuser in 2017). As Epstein's alleged 'Madam'/procurer/fellow assaulter she was allegedly teaching a 17 year old how to do blow jobs and allegedly helping molest a 15 year old on a massage table.
She would have been 40 (Guiffre was 17) and 35 (Farmer's sister was 15) at the time.

www.dailyherald.com/news/20190813/britains-prince-andrew-faces-new-scrutiny-for-ties-to-jeffrey-epstein

decent summary of duke's alleged involvement here - article also states that Ghislaine Maxwell is 'apparently outside the reach of investigators' - what on Earth does that mean? She has been photographed in L.A after some time laying low having sold her home. She is named in Farmer's suit. Why is she outside anyone's reach? Will she not be appearing in court soon?

Passthecherrycoke · 17/08/2019 19:00

“Ghislaine Maxwell is 'apparently outside the reach of investigators' - what on Earth does that mean?”

Plea deal? Makes Senss

Daisypie · 17/08/2019 23:00

I would love to see organisations of which he is a patron ask him to resign. That would be a good social media campaign.

Freefrops · 17/08/2019 23:16

I would love to know what Charles thinks of this.

bettybeans · 17/08/2019 23:34

Andrew's up to his neck in this. What gets me is the brass neck it takes to mix with Epstein even after he'd been convicted. He didn't care.

Epstein's death isn't necessarily likely to loosen the tongues of his staff or other witnesses either. It's perhaps more likely to convince them it's better to keep schtum. The man was a monster and there's zero chance the people around him didn't know that.

Goosefoot · 18/08/2019 03:36

Frankly, there's quite a good argument that HRH is an authority figure considering how powerful his family is.

I think person in authority has a narrower meaning than that in the law.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 18/08/2019 04:16

I would love to know what Charles thinks of this

Somehow I don't think Charles has much room to talk, bearing in mind his own paedophile support

Not that it will necessarily stop him talking of course ...

Wait, Andrew founded an initiative that helps victims of sex trafficking? You couldn't make it up!
