JY waxing case - some questions on the outcome.

Hi all

Have been reading the threads on JY's waxing with great interest.

Does anyone know when the first judgment in the series of claims brought by JY is due? Has the Tribunal given an indicative timescale?

Does anyone know how and when the judgment will be published? How can we look out for it?

Does anyone know if its the same tribunal hearing all of JY's complaints? If no, then does anyone know if the later tribunals will be bound by the decision of the first tribunal?

Sorry for the barage of procedural questions.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

@goinglikeelsie has just tweeted that the member said at the end of the final hearing last Friday that her decision would be announced in November. I was under the impression that there was to be a single ruling covering all the cases.

holdmybutterbeer · 31/07/2019 07:40

I've been having a Twitter exchange with MO

BlodwynBludd · 31/07/2019 08:21

Is it normal to wait so long for an outcome?

ZebrasAreBras · 31/07/2019 08:24

November???

Blimey.

thebluearsefly · 31/07/2019 08:27

@holdmybutterbeer MO blocked me - any chance you can screen shot

DexyMidnight · 31/07/2019 08:38

Thank you all. as per the twitter link shared above (thanks) the tribunal has apparently said 3 months (apx), which may well mean November as indicated above.

I am literally praying!

Can someone explain this more to me? Did this man book in for a Hollywood then turn up and flash his balls to get waxed? If you're an experienced waxer you would do him and be permanently busy thereafter for pulling that stunt. If it was an inexperienced young woman waxing, it would be cruel to put them in that situation. It's 2 different treatments requiring two different training courses. If a therapist isn't trained in doing balls how can she perform it and be insured?

Where can I find the details of this case?

GroggyLegs · 31/07/2019 10:13

MO seems very... careful in those responses.

Exceptance without exception unless an exceptional person makes it all look a bit pervy and farcical, in which case - 'personal responsibility'.

Zero responsibility taken by anyone who's enabled this mess to happen, even though the flaws were pointed out & shouted down.

Gives me a headache.

soapona - JY looked for women who offered Brazilian waxes who seem to fit a particular profile, entered into discussions with them in a way that would make them understand he possesses male genitals, and when they would refuse to do the waxing, he used that refusal to drag them into a kangaroo court of a Human Rights Tribunal to make their lives a misery.

There might have been a case or two that related to arm/leg waxing and not Brazilian waxing. The particular profile appears to be women who are immigrants and are poor. My assumption is that JY found some women willing to do waxing of male genitals but when they stated their agreement he lost interest and moved onto other targets.

It was about targeting women to make their lives a misery. He focused on immigrant women. I have doubts that it was ever about actually him getting his genitals waxed. This was targeting was enabled and facilitated by the laws of British Columbia.

Cloudyz7 · 31/07/2019 10:37

JY is filing yet more cases. This time for being denied eyebrow waxing and facials. Maybe JY thinks this will be a more lucrative avenue to take. Judging by the Twitter responses to the ball waxing cases, he had almost zero support.

I understand there are a number of women who made a financial settlement with Yaniv to get their complaint withdrawn in order to make all this go away. It is my suspicion that this was Yaniv's preferred outcome. Yaniv is a grifter, among other things

feelingverylazytoday · 31/07/2019 12:55

WTF is the matter with this judge? They need 4 months to decide? This should have been thrown out of court at the beginning.

soapona · 31/07/2019 13:36

@nauticant Thank you and I read the tweet about the Sikh lady working from home with children.

Surely though if she has not trained in male intimate waxing and is therefore not insured to perform the treatment. This then has no grounds it not discriminatory she's not trained in make intimate waxing. It's a 2 day advanced course for it in the UK. You require this for professional insurance. I can't see why these ladies are not stating this and it's getting to this stage.

nauticant · 31/07/2019 14:43

It's because the Human Rights Tribunal has been set up in such a way, and in such a climate, that "I'm transgender" means that conflicting rights that are trampled on are given much less weight. It is a very unbalanced tribunal that is all about a political worldview.

Also, as plenty of others have said elsewhere, the tribunal is the punishment in many cases. Even if someone wins against an abusive chancer, they will have had many months or longer of stress, it will have consumed their time and their money, and then might end the whole process far poorer, in a stressed and unwell condition, with a ruined business.

PancakeAndKeith · 31/07/2019 14:49

Surely though if she has not trained in male intimate waxing and is therefore not insured to perform the treatment.

But it’s not male intimate waxing. JY is female, just a female that has a cock and balls.

yulet · 31/07/2019 15:13

I really hate this world and how unflinchingly stupid some people are.

Butters83 · 31/07/2019 15:52

This person is a troublemaker who brings shame onto the trans community. They were deliberately trying to be provocative and cause a fuss.
I am very trans supportive, but common sense and sensitivity should be applied. There are plenty of places that wax both types of genitals. If anything, you would have thought this person would be more aware and sensitive to how alot of women do not feel safe around men and their privates.

Berthatydfil · 31/07/2019 16:19

If anyone’s following the farms apparently jy has had a huge row with his mother.

JY waxing case - some questions on the outcome.
heathspeedwell · 31/07/2019 16:51

It's clear that his mother is a racist too, but I can't help feeling sorry for her. It must have been horrible having to stand up in court and pretend that he had periods, when he's already stated that he has external; male genitalia. She stated that she used to be a nurse, so she must know that it not how intersex

heathspeedwell · 31/07/2019 16:52

... so she must know that is not how intersex conditions work. I don't think there has ever been a case of someone having a penis and testicles and having periods.

soapona · 31/07/2019 18:09

I still don't understand this as there is exemptions in the human rights act, such as changing room assistance. Also for example I am not insured to do under 18s and certainly not treatments I'm not qualified to do. He had male genitalia you can't change that.. The person won't be adequately trained. You can't say someone has a vagina when he has a penis. Why does he not demand a smear test? That is ludicrous.

Ritascornershop · 01/08/2019 02:50

It seems likely that it’s not just about extortion, but also about getting off on having so much media and bureaucratic attention focussed on JY’s undercarriage. JY appears to have a cornucopia of sexual fetishes, and getting attention is one of them.

heathspeedwell · 01/08/2019 08:21

I'm sure you're right.

I see JY has now done an interview with Mark Hughs in which he claims to have both male and female genitalia and in which he confirms that both sets have been circumcised!

I think he is enjoying making his claims ever more outrageous, and it just doesn't cross his mind to consider the real-life consequences of something like fgm.

Sicario · 01/08/2019 11:18

He is deranged. Yet entertained at every level due to the legal fiction afforded to him.

The ruling on this will be the real test. Perhaps, contrary to the TV show, Canada is the new Gilead.
