I've never been gender conforming. I've been misgendered (and not cared). I don't care how people dress. It doesn't matter what they say, I am not transphobic.

I find cis offensive as quite honestly I am not cis. My friend put me at an 8 on the Mermaids gender scale - how on earth then can cis be accurate for me?
No lesbian can possibly be cis, even if they are femme, the very fact they are homosexual means they are not fitting in with the expectations of their sex.
It is a daft term and is offensive simply because it is so often used incorrectly.

Well quite, Aspley. Cis is the result of a tortured function that tries to find a category for everyone but yourself - but only in reference to yourself.

And even if one doesn't disagree with the word cis in principle, in practice it will apply to hardly anyone.

Ok so I read that blog on my lunch break and commented, in detail, about why he was wrong. I was very articulate and used no offensive terms.
