Anti-Vaxxers? 😂 As if.

IncrediblySadToo · 12/07/2019 07:33

🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

The ‘anti vaxxers’ made me laugh, people who don’t vaccinate get slaughtered!! the rest is shite too Fuck muppet clearly knows jack shit about MN

Igneococcus · 12/07/2019 07:35

"esotericism" says the person with a unicorn reference in its Twitter name.
What is the "d" word in the name? Doof? Daemlich? Dumm?

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 12/07/2019 07:42

wait, being esoteric is bad now?

Tanith · 12/07/2019 07:48

"Anti-vaxxers" is clearly the new "Communists".

("I don't know what it means, but it's baaad people!") 🙄

GeorgeFayne · 12/07/2019 07:48

That's hilarious! Just administered a good dozen vaccines today...

scrappydappydoo · 12/07/2019 07:49

Is a cesspool worse than a nest of vipers? Trying to gauge whether mn has gone up or down.

nauticant · 12/07/2019 07:50

It brings to mind a teenager, in his bedroom with the curtains drawn against the sunshine, who, for some reason, is very angry with mummy and is taking it out on women in general.

Ereshkigal · 12/07/2019 07:51

With his furry unicorn head on a chair.

TurboTeddy · 12/07/2019 07:51

British site that started out as a community for young parents

Thank goodness they've lifted the age restriction. Grin

CassianAndor · 12/07/2019 07:51

Was MN ever specifically aimed at young parents? What was the age limit?

FamilyOfAliens · 12/07/2019 07:52

What is the point of that tweet?

People who know Mumsnet know that description is bullshit and will continue to visit the site, people who don’t, might read that tweet not visit the site.

And the world keeps turning.

FamilyOfAliens · 12/07/2019 07:53

I think they call themselves incels, don’t they?

TurboTeddy · 12/07/2019 07:54

scrappydappydoo
I read somewhere that we're a self described "nest of vipers" so I think we should maintain out autonomy to self identify and reject cesspool.

TurboTeddy · 12/07/2019 07:54

our

Hirsutefirs · 12/07/2019 07:55

It’s like a slightly subtle advert for MN. It will bring in some traffic.

SarahTancredi · 12/07/2019 07:56

I wish they would elaborate on these lies and provide back up.

It isnt us sucked in by made up suicide stats, lies about reversible drugs etc

Who's lying here really

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 12/07/2019 07:57

I never listen to cartoons or unicorns. Especially cartoon unicorns.

ZebrasAreBras · 12/07/2019 07:59

I think they think they're the first ones to have a problem with a female-dominated website, full of women with dangerous opinions and who can think for themselves.

Mumsnet has been under attack from MRAs for years - this is just misogyny version 2.0/

There are anti-vaxxers on here - but not many - and I have argued with them under different names many a time. (I rarely bother nowadays).

TurboTeddy · 12/07/2019 08:00

People who know Mumsnet know that description is bullshit and will continue to visit the site, people who don’t, might read that tweet not visit the site.

I'm not sure about that. If people not familiar with the site think we're all batshit crazy they might drop in hoping for some entertainment and then stay for the informed debate.

Either way as you said, the world will keep turning.

Ladyfat · 12/07/2019 08:02

ISaySteadyOn · 12/07/2019 08:09

Antivaxxers? Have these people ever read a Mumsnet thread on vaccination?

Do they even go here? Smile

Some people are so threatened by women, mothers or not, talking. I have to think on it more but I have a feeling that mothers talking about things other than mothering is really scary to some.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 12/07/2019 08:11

Well they love their medicalisation...

dottiedodah · 12/07/2019 08:16

I have only been on for a few months ,but dont recognise any of that!.The site is fair minded generally ,and anything untoward is taken down!.Written by misogynists obviously!

littlepaddypaws · 12/07/2019 08:16

someone feels threatened by the strong women of mn and so they should be. women speaking their minds ? god forbid !
