Thanks re FART. Have been explaining to DH what TERF means and he asked what is the male equivalent? TERM? Is there one because he makes the good point that many men also support safe spaces for women and are against the self-identifying agenda. Genuine question by the way.

HandsOffMyRights · 12/07/2019 09:49

Usually it's a 'cabal'..
Hilarious post. If we're so bonkers why be afraid of us?

Many of us have kids and vaccinations are a priority.

It made me laugh when they described young parents. I joined here when pregnant at 32 - hardly young, sonny!

TurboTeddy · 12/07/2019 09:50

OhHolyJesus
I'm on a roll now. We need a nest of vipers flag. I'm thinking 4 stripes, blues, green, white and pink for all the colours of the posts on the boards. Hope this colour combo hasn't been claimed by one of the 978 gender identities.

Branleuse · 12/07/2019 10:00

hotbed of terrible women with opinions

Datun · 12/07/2019 10:10

Some men really can't stand women having an opinion they disagree with, can they?

They have to call them all sorts of names, denigrate them collectively and vehemently urge people not to listen.

Extraordinary. And really points towards the fragility of the male ego.

aliasundercover · 12/07/2019 10:33

People who know Mumsnet know that description is bullshit and will continue to visit the site, people who don’t, might read that tweet not visit the site
It took me a while, but I slowly began to realise that the media was not telling me the whole story about transgender issues. I didn't know where to turn to find out more. It was a message similar to the above that pointed me in the right direction.

I'd never have discovered MN if it hadn't been for some TRA squawking about how evil everyone here is.

DuMondeB · 12/07/2019 10:58

‘Radicalisation Portal’ was my favourite - we can thank Munroe Bergdorf for that one.

Inspired me to make this:

If you don’t know what Mumsnet is be glad...

I'd love that on a t-shirt DuMondeB

PurpleCrowbar · 12/07/2019 11:16

I remember a wokey blokey on my FB gleefully dancing around 'hahaha we can call them FARTs!' looonnnng before McKinnon came out with it. Think it's been doing the rounds in incel circles for some time.

(I'd just politely handed said wokey blokey his arse & he was evidently feeling a bit bruised.)

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 12/07/2019 11:16

‘And I can call you...’

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 12/07/2019 11:22

Tee hee that Munroe Bergdorf tweet

Bonkers

OhHolyJesus · 12/07/2019 11:24

Yes, we need a flag Turbo although the colours you describe are probably for the maverick gender or DemiBoy or something...I'm sticking with nobendigender or genderfree depending on the day of the week.

I saw a nest of vipers baby bib online so we can expand on that client base...

I'm off to make a 'radicalised by Mumsnet' T-shirt with rainbow sequins and unicorn glitter.

arranbubonicplague · 12/07/2019 11:30

I wonder if we we might benefit from a fabric with a small print of repeating viper nests.

Life radicalises you.

Mumsnet lets you vent talk about it and discover that you're not alone.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 12/07/2019 11:35

‘Middle aged white woman’ - ummmm isn’t themselves:

Middle aged (must be by now)
White (on mums side - y’know the woman who gave birth the then)
‘More a woman you’ll ever be you hairy barren old lesbian’

Ok, so. Pull up a chair Munza...

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 12/07/2019 11:35

For someone who hates white women so much Munroe Bergdorf seems to have spent an inordinate amount of money trying to be a white woman.

And the vast majority of white women in the UK are considerably less privileged than Munroe Bergdorf, but certain people don't like letting facts get in the way of their narcissism.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 12/07/2019 11:42

I feel sorry for their mum. Does she never say ‘oi do you bloody well mind? Stop pissing on half of your family for a bloody minute’?. Cos I know I would.

Mumsnet: Sod the parenting a newborn advice, I came for the penis beaker and stayed for the transphobia

This is screaming for a t-shirt to be printed upon.

*FART: feminism-appropriating reactionary

Whereas I’d expect this to come from the mind of an 11-year-old boy.

Mostly I’d like to know...where do TRAs find the time to be TRAs? Does it pay? Confused

ShagMeRiggins · 12/07/2019 12:01

Aw feck, TurboTeddy beat me to it.

LangCleg · 12/07/2019 12:03

I love you, RageAgainstTheVendingMachine!

BatShite · 12/07/2019 12:06

One of my mates came to the website because of a post like this she saw. Was very TWAW, saw a TRA claiming MN was a pit of transphobia, so came to read some of the vile transphobia for herself. And was, as usual, peaked almost immediately. They are advertising for us here. And people who are not looking for reasons to feel the most oppressed of the oppressed, come and read the well thought out posts from (mainly) women, and join in or stay to lurk if not brave enough. I would wager that noone has came here to see the vile traphobia, and actually seen vile transphobia. Besides TRAs who see disagreeing them as disgusting transphobia..

DuMondeB · 12/07/2019 12:09

‘Hatereaders’ are our ideal audience, tbf.

They are exactly who we want through the radicalisation portal.

BatShite · 12/07/2019 12:10

Whereas I’d expect this to come from the mind of an 11-year-old boy.
Close, but a few decades off Grin Ah I remember when they first posted about that, and found themselves oh so funny. A couple of other TRAs found it hilarious apparently, and McKinnon then started posting it everywhere, telling people to use it instead of TERF. Sadly for McKinnon, it bever caught on.
