A quick google search shows news report after news report of men doing this And those are just the times cameras are spotted.

Yes, yet another reason why we want female only loos. Of course a cleaner or opportunist could still plant a camera, but it becomes more likely as numbers of men increase.

Ok so after being alerted to this via so many news reports, I found a hidden camera today. Ive reported to police.

PLEASE be vigilant and above all don’t let your kids use ANY toilet in a public or shared space without going in and checking first.

This one was actually inside the toilet bowl and was totally innocent looking. If I hadn’t been clued up I wouldn’t have noticed. Utterly fucking vile.

It was in mixed sex toilets branded proudly as ‘gender neutral’. Accessible to anyone.

The problem is that I'm never very sure what I'm looking for. An image search on Google for hidden cameras in bathrooms turns up quite a variety of equipment. Some are very obviously cameras but lots are so well disguised that you'd be hard pressed to recognise them.

The one I found today was a round flat silver disc the size and shape of a bottle top, or 10 pence. It had a small black centre (the lense I assume). It was stuck inside the back of the toilet bowl.

Yep, completely grim and most people would be completely unsuspecting. It just looked like a shiny toilet fitting. I had to look it up online to be sure before I contacted the police.

I did ask the officer about hidden cameras in general and he’d never heard of them!

Can I suggest that if anyone finds something suspicious looking you try to get a clear photo? It would be helpful if we can see them in situ.
I think most people still think hidden cameras are so big you cant miss them.

I agree Lang and it makes me furious. I felt sick and shaky when I realised what it was. Nowhere is safe from men spying, men getting their sexual kicks even without consent, sharing and live streaming intimate acts. And even after the camera is destroyed there’s no deleting the film and to way of tracing the sicko who put it there.

I just thank god I wasn’t with my daughter. I will be telling everyone who takes my kids out anywhere though, so they know what to look for. It also makes me very reluctant to use toilets when out and about now. But what the F can you do?

So these things look utterly innocuous like ordinary fixtures and can be placed pretty much anywhere.

What a fun topic to raise at lunch with my kids today.

Thanks MrsDumpty, and HumberElla for the warning and sorry you had to deal with this. It spurs me on with regard to the fight to protect single-sex spaces . I'll be writing to my MP about it I think. I actually had quite a positive response last time I wrote in haste regarding the meeting Lord Moonie hosted.

And yes please, if anyone is unfortunate enough to be able to get a photo I'd like to see it to get a better idea of what to look for.

Ok I’ve got an image. This one is identical to the one I found. It was located further up the back above the water level though.

The only way I think this can be dealt with is if everyone who spots anything like these makes a massive fuss. Demand the toilets are closed immediately. Call the police. No opening of the toilets to staff or customers until an absolutely forensic search has been carried out.
Probably threats of legal action too.

This crap is a so common now. I rarely use public toilets, with the exception being eating out or a club. But honestly it freaks me out. The cameras can be incredibly discreet I saw a story over here about a tradie installing one in a woman’s home that was essentially a screw. How can we find something like that?
I did think of a plan to maybe vomit into prior to using a public toilet, as revolting as that is, in the hope that I would be fast forwarded before any nudity occurred. I soon realised that would be futile, as it was bound to be somebody’s kink.

To be honest, I feel quite sorry for people who get off on watching random people using the loo. They must be very sick and sad little individuals.
