Yaniv has made mainstream media publication and isn't anonymous in this one!

Amazing that it discusses how Yaniv was the reason Meghan Murphy was banned.

Anyone got a share token link please?

If I was a beauty therapist and did waxings etc I would want to choose who I did them on - and I wouldn't want to do them on men. I don't want a dick in my face thanks. Is this the issue? the therapist refused? It's a genuine question as I really don't understand all this trans stuff.

Am I correct in assuming that now all beauty therapists/waxers etc can be forced by law to have to grapple with a penis or wax a penis? and go to prison if they say no? because if that is true then it's a way of sexually abusing therapists.

Yaniv has a history of deeply questionable behaviour- both online and IRL. .

It's a bit depressing that it feels so momentous to be typing out Yaniv's name and not just referring to JY.

Yaniv
Yaniv
Yaniv
Yaniv
Yaniv

Hope it doesn't work like the Candyman, although some might say there are parallels to be drawn re: summoning horrors in bathroom mirrors (this is not a dig at Yaniv's appearance, to be absolutely clear, but the other items that appear in the photos).

I really like how this article brings in different elements- Megan Murphy coming to debate at Holyrood, Twitters treatment of GC women and then JY. They don’t actually say much about JY and are leaving it up to the comments (when they come through) to do their work. This should bring the risks home to more people.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 19/05/2019 08:33

Pretty bland piece really.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 19/05/2019 08:42

Interesting story in the ‘related stories bit’

‘(Fleabag) Phoebe Waller-Bridge was such a tomboy as a child that she has said that if she were growing up today she would have “jumped” at the chance to become a transgender boy.’

Ereshkigal · 19/05/2019 10:15

A photo can say a thousand words though. Just sayin'

KatvonHostileExtremist · 19/05/2019 10:20

I wish the story had pointed out that at the time of the "misgendering " Yaniv still had their male name in addition to Jessica on their twitter bio.

It seems so strange to be able to say Balldemorte's name.

Will lightening strike me down now?

hoodathunkit · 19/05/2019 10:26

How can it be in any way appropriate for an intact, male bodied person to demand that women, often vulnerable and working alone should be made to touch their genital area?

In any other context this constitute a sexual assault.

I am not against MtF trans people having their genital areas waxed if they wish. Why on earth would they not simply visit a waxing professional who is themselves MtF thus not causing distress and anxiety to women?

I have met many kind MtF transsexuals who would not even dream of insisting that women wax or even touch their genital areas in this way.

Surely the extremely concerning issue with Yaniv is their lack of concern or empathy for the women who feel violated by their demands?

BertrandRussell · 19/05/2019 10:29

Apart from anything else waxing male and female genitals are different skills and need different training.....

Michelleoftheresistance · 19/05/2019 10:57

Apart from anything else waxing male and female genitals are different skills and need different training.....

^This.

I still don't get what these law cases are supposedly about. Is it fussing about someone advertising as waxing for women only, so about the pov that some women have penises and therefore to be non discriminatory all practitioners MUST be qualified in both if they state they wax women only? So basically a trades description accusation answered by waxers specifying the genital type qualified for?

Or since there is the line by some TW that they have a vagina like any other women, just an 'outie' one shaped like a penis and scrotum (that needs waxing exactly like a penis and scrotum) anyone claiming to wax vaginas only must in fact be trained to wax in both ways to avoid upsetting anyone? Despite the fact this will be enacting a lie for many who do not believe male genitals are in fact a vagina if the owner says so?

It can't possibly be compulsory for women to have to train in and provide male genital waxing as well as female genital waxing, people are free to train in and offer what ever specific services they choose, and obviously cant do something they are not trained in and lack the equipment to do. ( I'll leave aside the fact that many female beauticians and other forms of holistic therapists like massage etc work alone out of their own homes and do not take male clients, for obvious reasons, since that elicits howls of TWAW which will never be abused except for all the times it has been, and sexual assault isn't a risk, is nothing to be afraid of anyway and just be put up with anyway for the sake of poor TW because that's too batshit to engage with.)

So what is the beef here?

There really is a point at which other people start having rights too.

wibbletooth · 19/05/2019 11:01

I’ve always wondered if there couldn’t be an ‘approved’ (legally checked out!) sentence provided by an industry organisation/kind legal company/?? that anyone who offers these services could use to protect themselves without leaving themselves open to accusations of transphobia or legal action.

Something along the lines of ‘please note that we are unable to provide any waxing or other treatments for a male or female penis, scrotal sac or areas surrounding these as specialist training is required which we do not have nor are we covered by our insurance for this’.

Not only would it most importantly protect anyone who is at risk from people like Yaniv but I suspect that having the sentence there would peak trans lots of people who read it, went WTF? and then heard the explanation!

Datun · 19/05/2019 11:03

As far as I recall, didn't Yaniv target several women who were quite happy to wax his genitals? But ignored them?

emerencealwayshopeful · 19/05/2019 11:11

Thanks for the share token.

nauticant · 19/05/2019 11:13

I see that comments are starting to disappear from under the article.

Although it misses out much relevant information of what Yaniv has been up to, I get the point that it's mainly to prompt people to find out more themselves. The title though is both crass and childish.

Michelleoftheresistance · 19/05/2019 11:13

Exactly, Wibble . Is this just a case of enforcing a performance of sufficient language gymnastics?

Several female holistic practitioners I work with who work out of their homes have already said they are moving to a system many already use for safety of taking only new clients who are friends of family, friends of friends, or friends of existing trusted clients to avoid potential issues. No public advertising and no cold callers.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 19/05/2019 11:17

The comments are heartening.

notatwork · 19/05/2019 11:38

Miss British Columbia pageant. Brave and stunning

TheGoalIsToStayOutOfTheHole · 19/05/2019 11:53

Yaniv is just vile. Why on earth should he be able to force women to touch his balls for fucks sake.

pepperpot99 · 19/05/2019 12:06

Why did my comments get deleted?
