and it appears to be permanent.

Not for swearing, violent threats or promoting hatred, but for pointing out to a MtF transgender person that his male entitlement was showing.

I've appealed, but I'm not hopeful.

Ah well, fun's over.

I did need to back off from the crack cocaine of SM anyway.....

Twitter have got back to me and my appeal has failed.

How am I going to enter Aldi prize draws now? 😱

Did you give them your phone no. Ginge? I’ve never heard back about my appeal. All I get is a screen telling me I’m rate limited.

Birdsfoottrefoil · 10/05/2019 18:13

Me too Gingernaut. They still think telling men they can be excluded from female single sex spaces is hateful. But telling women to die in a grease fire or that gun meme is fine.

SocksKnitter · 10/05/2019 19:04

Name changed because I felt like it. Grin

Just had my second complaint email from Twitter. This is what I wrote in two tweets (in two different threads as far as I can remember)

So biological fact is hateful now, is it? You do realise, don't you, that however often you repeat TWAW no-one outside your bubble actually believes this is literally true. Human beings cannot change sex and gender is simply a deeply restrictive and damaging social construct.

What about the harm that trans ideology is doing to the hard-won legal rights of women (at least in the UK) to their own single-sex spaces? How come the rights of a minority of trans-identified males trump the rights of 51% of the population - biological women?

Twitter says it has investigated the reported content and could not identify any violations of the Twitter Rules.

This shows how hugely unfair and inconsistent Twitter is about so-called hateful content. I reckon my tweets were pretty strongly-worded, yet I've been given the all-clear, while poor Jsoosty was banned for simply saying "You're not a lesbian."

Gingernaut · 10/05/2019 19:13

It's frustrating isn't it?

It really is, but I think it's worse than that. It's irrational and if I were being conspiracy-theory-minded I'd say it was designed to keep us off-balance, never knowing if or when we would cross the invisible line. Confused

Talking of twitter bans, has Joani Walsh been banned? She live-tweeted the Caro vs SH case (admittedly not entirely coherently), but now shows up as "twitter account not found."

SocksKnitter · 10/05/2019 20:17

That might be because she's deactivated her account for the time being. IIRR that's what is shown when an account is inactive but hasn't been suspended.

lobsterkiller · 11/05/2019 06:16

Joani Walsh did say she had only reactivated to report on a certain court hearing. Hopefully back soon.
