The protesting students divided into two groups, one supporting girls and one suporting transgender use of the facilities. The transgender support group was twice as big as the female support group. The school says the law is on the side of the transgenders.
This is disgraceful.

Student Brandi Scherlund said, “I believe if you have the male parts you go to the males’ bathroom and if you have the female parts you go to a ladies room and that's just the way I was raised." She is quite correct.

It's encouraging that they didn't just suffer in silence. I think most normal reasonable people (especially parents of girls) will side with the girls, and hopefully it will encourage more protests at more schools, and more sunlight. Fingers crossed.

Those girls very publicly say they do not consent to this. The state legislature in Omaha FORCES those girls to rescind their personal boundaries against their consent to a male. This is state-sponsored rape culture in the USA.

We have single sex toilets because girls' bodies are different from boys' bodies, not because girls' brains are different from boys' brains.

It shouldn’t matter whether more students are in favour or against. Girls have a human right to privacy and human rights are not, in civilised societies, trampled on by majority rule.
But looking at some point of the reactions to the Georgia abortion bill on Twitter I am seriously doubting whether the US can call itself a civilised society anymore ☹️

Because organisations like the "Human Rights Campaign" [HRC] have been captured by heterosexual males who express the paraphilia that is autogynephilia. HRC input, under the guise of civil rights, has promoted the creation of state-level laws that ignore sex and prioritise the as yet undefined notion that is "gender identity" to the extent that all female single-sex spaces etc should be accessible to anyone who "identifies" as female.

HRC advocates for the male "right" to behave sexually at any time, in any place to be imposed on females against their consent.

I can just imagine the intense pressure to be a “cool girl” even if you’re not comfortable with it. The fear of ostracisation and abuse. We all remember what schools are like.

I think we can safely say that headmistress doesn’t agree with mixed sex bathrooms. She was stating the law as it stands but didn’t once say she agreed with it. The fact that the students won’t be punished is very heartening. Putting women back in their patriarchal ruled places makes it easier for men to enter female spaces and push boundaries, at the expense of the safety of women and children.

So depressing. These poor girls having their rights to privacy and safety removed at a time when there is a shocking rise in women being sexually assaulted, upskirted, murdered by men claiming it was 'sex gone wrong' and the host of other indignities that men who do not respect women's boundaries inflict on them.

Lots of boys on that hilltop supporting a boy's right to enter the giirls' toilets. It costs them nothing to destroy the rights of girls.

On the other hand it's heartening to see a female-only group standing up for themselves.
