Caroline, I am honestly almost in tears looking at your Twitter feed tonight. Sad

Her kids have been doxxed by the good doctor.

She is continuing to receive harassment from TRAs. Someone has just sent a pizza to her house.

We all need to get behind her. They think she's a weaker target because of her Catholic views, I'm sure. Let's get on Twitter and report everyone that is sending her abuse.

Ask to speak to a female officer.
Ask to speak to a superintendent.

You have the evidence.
Look, these bullies did not get anywhere by just scurrying away. They pushed and pushed to get what they wanted.

Carowiththegoodhair

What about engaging a lawyer yourself? Is there anything we can do? Would you feel more able to go to the police with support?

KatvonHostileExtremist · 02/04/2019 13:03

Honestly, they aren't worth the anguish. You've got more in your life Caro, than they will ever have. Flowers

Redshoeblueshoe · 02/04/2019 13:04

Caro Flowers

colehawlins · 02/04/2019 13:04

I know this is crazy but I am actually too frightened to go to the police and can’t face going through it all again.

How do you feel about other people reporting it?

SophoclesTheFox · 02/04/2019 13:04

Sending you positive vibes and thoughts, caroline. It’s not much, but please do know that many, many women here can see what’s being done to you, clear as day. You are not to blame for this. Anyone with a passing knowledge of the law and/or the types of person who like to use it to threaten and intimidate others can see what’s happening.

FermatsTheorem · 02/04/2019 13:05

Caro I can't even begin to imagine how terrible this is for you - your list of what is being done is so appalling.

Janice Turner, James Kirkup, Private Eye, we need you. Please write an article juxtaposing the way a single use of the "wrong" [sic] pronoun can have west Yorkshire police traveling the length of the country to interview you, while the targeted, coordinated campaign of genuine harassment of Caro is being ignored by Sussex police.

DpWm · 02/04/2019 13:05

How do you feel about other people reporting it?

Other people can't report it.
It has to be the victim.

JessicaWakefieldSVH · 02/04/2019 13:05

I’m reminded of the 55 women murdered who had already reported their attackers to police for either physical abuse, stalking or harassment. I don’t say this to scare you Caroline, but because it’s important Police are reminded what their inaction has led to for other women.

dragoning · 02/04/2019 13:06

Meh, Steph. Start your own thread. We can all read what you guys wrote.

Caro many, many women have your back Flowers Would you consider trying your MP?

JessicaWakefieldSVH · 02/04/2019 13:06

Maybe those on twitter could link those journalists to this thread?

JessicaWakefieldSVH · 02/04/2019 13:07

Yes, I’ve checked, it has to be Caroline reporting it unfortunately.

colehawlins · 02/04/2019 13:08

Let’s be clear. There is an abusive website which has doxed my family, abused my husband, doxed my ex, blamed my ex for the fact he published innocent photos of my children and which has amongst other things discussed disfiguring my face with acid. It has also made sexually humiliating and abusive comments, posted photos of sex toys which it says I need, last night made yet another physical threat of violence and Stephanie Hayden has come on here to defend one of the people involved.

The police interviewed a suspect and did not take it further because he denied it was him. He said it was a team of 8-15 of them. The police did not think that the website merited IT forensics. So the abuse continues.

It's good to have a nice, clear summary.

ToeToToe · 02/04/2019 13:10

Women here support you Caro. Lots and lots women and men in real life support you.

I know it must feel like you're going insane - but if you can, do report again. You have new incidents to report, including threats of violence and religious hatred.

Strength to you Thanks

FermatsTheorem · 02/04/2019 13:11

I was thinking of those 55 women too, Jessica - though I hasten to add for Caro's benefit that I have no reason to think her harassers are likely to escalate to that level of physical violence; I think they're just getting off on the level of fear they can induce.

colehawlins · 02/04/2019 13:11

Hmm.

What about safeguarding concerns around the doxxing of children?

dragoning · 02/04/2019 13:12

If we can't report, can we complain? Police complaints? MP?

The police did not think that the website merited IT forensics.

Can this somehow be organised privately? Crowdfunded?

FermatsTheorem · 02/04/2019 13:13

Not that what's already being done isn't fucking terrible, btw, of course it is. But I don't want to add to Caro's understandable level of worry.

SisterWendyBuckett · 02/04/2019 13:13

I admire your clarity and strength Caro and know how hard this must be for you Thanks

JessicaWakefieldSVH · 02/04/2019 13:14

What about safeguarding concerns around the doxxing of children?

I didn’t ask specifically about that.

I think a private prosecution is probably going to be the most effective. I’d chip in for it too.
