I looked at their Instagram yesterday and there were pictures of them with a beard as a man, also with their male name on, there was no attempt to hide this at all and yet it is considered a crime if anyone else refers to it? TransPride are demanding that everyone enter into a coercive relationship with them.

Apparently almost half of trans people don’t feel comfortable using public toilets.

I haven’t used a public loo since learning, here, that males may use them.

Ask for your own space, I’d happily support you.

In the vegan straight edge YouTube channel video (uploaded 1st March) PR mentions Laura Jane Grace of Against Me! who had a well established music career prior to transitioning:

(I chuckled to myself because PR seemed to think the Grace was a punk rock trans trailblazer and thus PR’s inspiration for a public, punk rock, transition. Oldies like me, of course, know that Wayne/Jayne County did it more than three decades earlier - County transitioned in 79, Grace in 2012)

Today’s statement from Trans Pride is at odds with Rose’s own story of public transition.

The world is not kind to trans people, especially trans women. Groups like For Women Scotland and A Women's Place and activists who share their values consider themselves allies to the trans community, but nothing could be further from the truth. These groups continue to spread the rhetoric that we are nothing more than dangerous men, that trans kids don't exist, and that our rights to legal recognition should be undone.

Meanwhile woke council leader Adam McVey jumped in on that defamatory pink saltire article but doesn't see need to reassure Edinburgh women that he takes threats of actual violence seriously and Mhairi Hunter is having another go at Joan about intolerance for objecting to the word womxn but again is wriggling like a fish to avoid having to condemn actual intolerance.

Part of the narrative of some of these groups is violence to women. That is very disturbing as these are the very vocal ones who demand access to women only areas. Foxed demanding the keys to the chicken coop?

Found this. Trans Pride Scotland apparently are feminists who support all women! They might need a disclaimer about this not including women who "ask for it"

Hipsterfun - I just watched clips pre transition 2 yrs ago and was shocked. Seems friendly, approachable, easy manner, looks healthy. But the recent photos looks gaunt, totally different and it's not just the get up.

It does suggest something else is going on. Obv don't know what's going on with this person but think too often people feel like they don't fit and think put all their hopes in 'transitioning' as a cure all. Then when that leaves them even more alienated (because most people don't actually believe one can change sex) they then blame it on people not accepting them as their true self and it spirals out of control.

I'm angry at the Transpride response but I'm really worried about all these young (and not actually so young people) who clearly need help but instead just get affirmed into something that is going to exacerbate their feeling of 'not fitting'.

Agree. This is a such a toxic ideology and it only seems to get young, impressionable people into trouble. I hope this person finds solace and fulfilment in positive activities like music and rethinks their threats towards women. What's the point?
