Just going to leave this here for your thoughts if you haven't already seen the twitter comments...

www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/8648825/sam-smith-wanted-sex-change-neither-male-female/

Jameela's face says it all I think.

I, for one, welcome Sam Smith telling me what it means to think like a woman. I have no idea what this means and I've been female all of my life so have obviously been womaning wrong.

BertrandRussell · 18/03/2019 07:53

Before I watch it-can someone tell me what Jameela thinks? I do mr think I could bear it if she buys the “thinking like a woman” thing.....

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/03/2019 07:54

I’m not listening to Samantha! Do they not realise that only men know what they are talking about? Shut up Sammie and let A Man speak!

Hope the #metoo hasn’t been to hard on you in your career, cutie pie.

PotteryGirl · 18/03/2019 14:56

I've just read the BBC article and I'm sure he's a very nice person but....

1: Who's bothered....?

2: If he says he thinks like a woman sometimes could he perhaps elaborate on that and enlighten me as I have no cacking idea what I'm doing....

🤔

AssassinatedBeauty · 18/03/2019 15:05

Just for once I wish someone would write an article and point out how offensively misogynist these kinds of comments are.

Be as masculine or as feminine as you like, be whatever combination of either you like. But recognise that has got naff all to do with your sex.

PotteryGirl · 18/03/2019 15:35

Just read The Sun article. Oh my days...

Lipo at 12 because he was holding onto oestrogen in his chest...? Whaat? He has sex in a feminine way...Whaat? Actually, must broach that idea with my DH, he might be interested..😂😂😍.

It's possible that non-binary is just a term for people who just want to be that bit more special than the rest of us....

Sam Smith I think you're nothing like me but which one of us is wrong...?😳

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/03/2019 17:41

Iipo? On a child? I’ve never heard of that before.

Binglebong · 18/03/2019 18:06

The only things that might be woman thoughts specifically are things like "I hate period craps" or "must remember to buy more Tampax".

From what I've seen on here the tampax one is not exclusively female 《shudder》

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/03/2019 18:09

‘Am I pregnant?’
‘Have I just peed myself or have my waters broken’
‘Ohhhhhhh stitches down there don’t half sting’
‘Aw crap I need to change my top as I’ve been squooshing milk again’

placemats · 18/03/2019 18:50

Sam presents as a male. Sam needs to get over it.

hipsterfun · 18/03/2019 19:16

Nobody feels any pain
Tonight as I stand inside the rain
Everybody knows
That baby’s got new clothes
But lately I see her ribbons and her bows
Have fallen from her curls
She takes just like a woman, yes, she does
She makes love just like a woman, yes, she does
And she aches just like a woman
But she breaks just like a little girl

Cover version, Sam? Grin

SanFranBear · 18/03/2019 19:39

His 'thinking like a woman' quote was broadcast on the 5,45pm Newsbeat on Radio 1 and I went into full rant mode..

So fucking offensive and utterly meaningless - you think! That's it - thoughts don't have a gender, they're just what your brain is up to!

At least the DC are fully aware of my womanly thoughts on this non-binary bullshit!!

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/03/2019 19:44

Don’t you dare back trans the Dylan...

user1498572889 · 18/03/2019 20:04

Ohhh 🤪😔☹️ Fuck off

snoogans · 18/03/2019 20:09

My favourite bit was on the BBC article today: "But he does say coming out as non-binary has helped him become happier with his own body image.
"I am feminine in many ways and I've always resented that," he says.
"I'll never look like that because there's a bit of a woman in me who won't let me look like that. I put on weight in places women put on weight."

Where do only women put on weight? HmmMy stomach always stays flat but all my weight goes on my arse and thighs. My friend has skinny legs at all times but puts loads on her stomach.....

He just sounds like a knob.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/03/2019 20:16

Boobs? I can’t imagine a chubby vagina but I will stand to be corrected.

Galvantula · 18/03/2019 20:25

www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-47612616

I came here to grump about the BBC article full of special different people.

Putting on weight in special places wtf.

AssassinatedBeauty · 18/03/2019 20:31

This is his scientific illiteracy coming to the fore again...

What I suspect he means is that he has a hormone imbalance and produces to much oestrogen or is too sensitive to the oestrogen he produces. Hence the comments about oestrogen being "held in his chest", by which I suspect he means gynecomastia. And as an adult, laying down fat more easily on his hips/lower body rather than his upper body which is more typical for men.

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 18/03/2019 20:34

Not only does he think like a woman, but he does it in his head. Which is unexpected, as he seems to be talking out of his arse.

Just choked on my biscuit reading that but it was worth it 😂

terryleather · 18/03/2019 20:44

Just for once I wish someone would write an article and point out how offensively misogynist these kinds of comments are.

I wish for this too Assassinated, but I'm not holding my breath...

MIdgebabe · 18/03/2019 20:44

Well of course he thinks like a woman, since women and men both think in the same way, I think it’s electric or chemical signals around the brain.?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/03/2019 20:47

In the words of Shania Twayne... Man I feel like a Woman. Cover version anyone?

SparklySneakers · 18/03/2019 21:17

Never heard of him. Who is he?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/03/2019 21:26

some bloke

hipsterfun · 18/03/2019 21:38

I'll never look like that because there's a bit of a woman in me who won't let me look like that

Force-feeding you pies, is she?
