Two giant transwomen discuss how males bodies don't provide a sporting advantage. Hats off to Abigail for keeping calm against the lunacy.

Gosh the size difference struck me immediately ! Abigail looked minuscule in comparison to the rest of the panel.
She was quite strong but McKinnon really tried to dominate the discussion. Abigail needed to stop being so polite /waiting for her turn.

DistressedAndWorried7845 · 26/02/2019 23:24

Why is McKinnon dressed like one of the golden girls- isn’t McKinnon 35 years old?!

NotTerfNorCis · 26/02/2019 23:39

Couldn't stand more then a few seconds of that smug arseface McKinnon.

adultFemaleElf · 26/02/2019 23:39

Interesting to see McKinnman patronisingly tap the powerlifters arm to stop then interrupting Abigail - clearly trying to manage their image so as not to appear intimidating.
Again though, only 25% women in the room. WHY?!

ChickenonaMug · 26/02/2019 23:45

The body language of the guests throughout the programme was fascinating, including the hosts response to it. There were definite changes in body language towards the end.

AncientLights · 26/02/2019 23:48

McK was positioned in the middle of the group, sitting ram-rod straight to look even taller and wearing an eye-catching pink. None of that was accidental. McK then tried to dominate the entire thing. Abigail didn't speak very fluently. I wish she'd been a bit more of a ball-breaker.

HawayMan · 26/02/2019 23:52

It is really pissing me off that RM will be making a good living for dominating women's sports and talking about it. Angry

HeyDuggeesCakeBadge · 27/02/2019 00:03

RM is an idiot. If testosterone didn't make a difference then why are there men and women categories in the first place?

I was eye rolling throughout that whole video - but the worst part is, on twitter she thinks she did amazingly?

CoachBombay · 27/02/2019 00:08

What the actual fuck....

I'll draw you to this extract of studies:

Corso (1959) was among the first to report that females have superior auditory acuity (i.e. lower thresholds) compared with same-age males, particularly for test frequencies above 2 kHz. The same general finding – adult females having more sensitive hearing at high frequencies, compared with same-age males – has been replicated in other studies of adults (e.g. Chung, Mason, Gannon, and Willson, 1983; Royster, Royster, and Thomas, 1980), including studies with Caucasian, African-American, and Asian adults (Dreisbach and colleagues, 2007; Shahnaz, 2008)

So perhaps me and old MK could have a hearing contest, one to hear the highest frequencies wins...I'd win each time because of my biological advantage, then perhaps he will change his tune (pun intended)

WaddIelikeapenguin · 27/02/2019 00:26

Was the presenter rubbish or overcompensating because he disagrees with McK? McK totally dominated & steered the conversation (away from points McK could not answer)
The power lifter seemed to be there just to support fragile wee McK - they didn’t add to the conversation at all

Science Angry

ImFineThankYouSusan · 27/02/2019 00:34

McKinnon's tweet about this. The same McKinnon who apparently is 'scared of c*s women' Hmm

"I sat next to her on purpose"

What so you could intimidate her? Scare her? That seems like a very male thinking thing to do, if you ask me.

ChickenonaMug · 27/02/2019 00:48

In many ways it was a slick performance by RM and the power lifter. But the cracks were just starting to appear towards the end. You can certainly see why RM has refused to debate certain women such as Nic Williams.

NotTerfNorCis · 27/02/2019 06:43

McKinnon seems to be revelling in having intimidated Abigail. That's not the point of debate, McKinnon.

Iused2BanOptimist · 27/02/2019 07:03

Just got to share these again.
Look at the women's faces. Grin

Couldn't watch it. Find McKinnon too irritating.

Ah well at least this issue is being discussed. No one I know IRL believed me when I said it was happening so at least this is providing proof that it is.

And no one decent supports it. Just MRAs who are gleeful and TRAs of course

plattercake · 27/02/2019 07:33

I can't stomach watching all that gaslighting.

As mentioned on another thread, if McK thinks there is no difference between a male born person and a woman, someone needs to ask McK if they would happily compete against men or agree to have only one 'open' category for both sexes and if not, why not.

NotTerfNorCis · 27/02/2019 07:44

I know a couple of blokes who both thought they were pro trans ideology. When I mentioned about transwomen in women's sports, they were adamant 'it would never happen'. I said it was already happening. They wouldn't believe me. This is the reason for public apathy - people refuse to see what's going on! I hope this opens their eyes before it's too late. Because the next step after 'it would never happen' might be 'it's been happening for years and that's fine'.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 27/02/2019 07:52

Has Abigail said she was intimidated?

Its just in conversation in a group with someone i cant stand I certainly would avoid any sort of unnecessary engagement with them

Looking at them for example

Oh and that pathetic jaw drop moment Grin what are they 10?

Unable to say anymore about that particular moment due to guidelines Grin

EweSurname · 27/02/2019 08:01

She implied it

littlbrowndog · 27/02/2019 08:05

McKinnon telling a woman what to do because she dared to defy McKinnon

Ffs what a bully

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 27/02/2019 08:06

Thank you ewe

In that case RK behaviour was even worse than i thought

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 27/02/2019 08:07

Gosh i only read Abigails bit

Delet your account???

And once again guidelines prevent me from anything further

Fazackerley · 27/02/2019 08:10

I think rk will do well on telly. She's confident and brash and sounds intelligent. And people hate feminists.

I can't stand McKinnon and think she's a bully and a cheat, but interviewers love her because she's very focused on what she's saying. It won't change until a similarly forceful, celeb women sportperson takes her down. Which I can't see happening.

EweSurname · 27/02/2019 08:13

I find it striking how a transwoman (by definition - someone who is a man biologically though they seek to be treated socially as a woman) has no qualms over the optics of commanding the silencing of a woman.
